ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Eye Sea owwwwww here naaaaaa thin.

I dislike tax with a passion. Great if much of these tax discussions no longer existed. If anyone totally enjoyed tax, maby they could private msg with each other. :rolleyes:

IIRC, the online shop at Canberra has blocked Only1 card payments? How do I overcome this to use the Only1 cards to pay the online shop?

Next one maybe a stupid question. If I would like to pay with Perfect cards, how do I generate the barcode I need in order to pay the BAS accounts at AusPost? The individual NOA has barcode, but not sure regarding the BAS ones.

Only 1 stopped being honored at the online shop start of the year.

Your accountant should be able to source payment slip with the barcode you’re looking for.

The shark at the local gift shop that sells stamps likes to ban people using those red cards, or black cards.

Just paid the water bill.... Now for PAYG in September..... Slowly getting thru the EFTPOS gift card pile last stocked up on! ;)

Curious about Easy Bill Pay.
I currently use Easyshare to pay my rent by credit card into my landlord's bank account.
I'm wondering if Easy Bill Pay is similar (but with a different fee model).

/ pay was meant to come back end of August. Email from them last night suggested they won't be back till sometime in 2019

Hang on - is that mean, I can use visa/MC pay my ownself to personal bank account, and still earns CC point ? With a fee 0.8% ?

let say $5000 x 0.8% = $40 fees , $1 for 1.5points , equals 3750 SQ points ( lets not mention which CC is this ) = 1 SQ point 0.0106 ??
Hi, where are you seeing 0.8%? Do I need to sign up first? I cannot see any % fee, only the monthly fee.

Thanks

Going through the fun of paying Mr Katie's eyewatering tax bill at the moment. Wish I'd gotten the right Bankwest card (the QF one, not the regular More World one). Oh well, the points might help buy a new … something or other from their online shop. Trying to look on the positive side! :P

By way of comparison, RewardPay/Amex Explorer/Ascent is 1.32c per point.

I'm a recent convert and super chuffed with the outcome. I've got the same setup, but earning Ascent Premium with all transactions tax deductible .... reaping 0.87c per point. My monthly ATO obligations are substantial, however the raft of other business transactions I can push through RP is the real winner.
