ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Hi @AFF Editor,

I am willing to join B2BPay to pay my ATO bills and found that if I join through a referral, I can earn a bonus of 10K Qantas points. The person who will refer me will also earn Qantas points for referring me.

I am looking for someone having an existing account with B2BPay and can refer my email so that I can join it.

Thanks
Have you got a taker yet?

Anyone here know any groups or individuals who are into manufactured spending? I know a little off topic and likely to be downvoted by a couple of people here 😬
Most of this forum are interested in earning points, but avoid publishing strategies lest they be ozbargained or closed ;)

Agreed, it's best not to share the utmost lucrative ways of both earning and redeeming points lest they end up in a blog, on Facebook etc.

I've recently come across two absolutely incredible hacks/loopholes/whatnot — one each on the earning and redeeming side — and I've resolved sadly not to share them because they are simply too valuable and I don't want them to be shut down.

I'm happy to share semi-public/less lucrative tips and tricks, but some are alas too good to distribute.

That’s what PMs are for. 😉

I used Sniip for my ATO payment, I was charged a bit higher rate than the what was previously offered but can confirm I received all the points 2 points per $ spent.

I did have AMEX ring me saying I had gone over my limit (even though it is a charge card with no limit). They did want to know what the Sniip charges entailed. I'll now do multiple smaller charges to fly under the radar when I have a bigger tax bill.

My Beem it transactions are now showing as a “transfer” in Virgin Money not a purchase :( dammit. Going to have to explore other avenues quickly for paying off my HECS
Transfer?! I'd double check they haven't classified it as a cash advance and start charging you interest

Edit: how long is it taking for you for it to show in your ATO account?

Takes a couple of business days to show in the ATO account, but when it does go through, it recognises the date it was paid.

Example: I paid $100 off on 9th May, ATO now says processed 10th May, effective date 9th May

So I’m not sure if it’s all good as long as the effective date is before the indexation date? But not willing to risk it.

Thanks, I wouldn’t be either.

has anyone's BPAY button just disappeared from their beem it app? it worked for me fine yesterday, checked it again just now and it seems the function has been removed.
