ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I will DM you, but it's been a while since i've used this particular method so it may no longer be available. If anyone does have working methods, suggest not to post publicly lest they be ozbargained and tiktoked
Hi all, unfortunately @Obi-run Kenobi confirmed the method I'd used previously is no longer working.

I imagine ATO has clamped down on multiple payments on the same day so they have a 5 payments a day limit now. Has anyone else noticed this and is there a workaround?

Citi Payall seems to be a worthwhile option until October... 0.5 FF points per dollar for zero surcharges at all?
I just used City Payall for the first time to pay 15K BAS/GST bill. So easy to use and for $0 - brilliant! The equivalent on Sniip was a $50 charge.

Any idea what will be Citi Payall fees starting in October?

my.gov.au has a limit of like up to 10 every 12 hours apparently according other people posting in ozbargain.

ATO - Card Payment has additional 5 payments per 12 hours.

Then there's Sniip with 0.85% surcharge for prepaid cards to pay ATO via bpay.

Have you confirmed ATO received it? I’m very nervous to use Payall after having a payment go missing. The details I used were correct. Citi were not helpful at all in tracing it. There’s a few posts somewhere on AFF about it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try it twice with at least 12 hours between payments. Thanks for the heads up re Sniip though :)

I was looking at the prepaid card option through Sniip. Do you know which all cards are accepted? Some prepaid cards offer 10x Everyday rewards points which convert to 5x QFF points. At a processing fee of 0.85%, this seems like a really good offer.

do tell ... I was just at Woolies - saw the Apple GC offer - what might work? 10x EDR might be handy :)

Why not just go to ATO direct at 0.2% or whatever for prepaid cards?

yep should work ok - limit of 5 payments a day. Might work through my gov as reported up thread for an extra 10 payments/day but I can't find my non-personal entries in my gov as would be good to "spread the load" :)

I did use the Cole's MasterCard to pay my super. Not sure about others. I don't know about those visa cards

For those who are interested, I put one Coles GC on my Citi US card which has a bonus category for supermarkets, this spend didn't count for Supermarket Bonus as the merchant category was "General Merchandise". Shame, with the $A so low, the 3x Boost would have worked out well.

YMMV with your card.

Been trying to pay via yakpay BAS - normally can do I one transaction but keeps failing as "PENDING"

Tried breaking up and was able to pay about half but remainder still pending

Anyone having any yakpay issues as well?

Hi Georgie,

I hope you’re well and apologies for the inconvenience.

I would love to help you get this resolved as soon as possible, please reach out to us at [email protected] with details of the issue. Alternatively, feel free to reach out to me directly in messages and I’d be more than happy to investigate this myself.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,
James

@georgie23 , I paid BAS yesterday without issue.
BTW, the ATO site is down for maintenance over the weekend.

@Yak Pay | Payment Logic , when paying separate ATO obligations, i.e. a super fund payment, is it necessary to register a separate payee and if so how do I determine the ATO ABN to be used?
