Slightly disturbing that they felt that they could get away with this on a Jetstar A320. If it was a SQ A380 and they were in a F suite perhaps I could see it happening

Sometimes it's not about getting away with it... just getting it over without disturbance. If the crew is a bit conservative... well tough luck. I doubt any sentencing will be very harsh. An A320 offers enough space for basics.
