Ultimately I think 250 is the aim for them. 200 they'd still be able to defend, but the Aussies would have to bowl like the Indian attack - whom have been absolutely superb!
Agreed, and makes you wonder why the much vaunted Australian attack wasn't able to do something similar.
Regardless of what he scored in the first innings, Shaun has yet again shown that he can't seem to perform when it is really necessary.
I want to see some players with a bit of mongrel, prepared to stand up and fight for their position in the side. To me as an uneducated armchair critic, it seems that for some the aim is to get a test contact then just bleed it dry. As I have said previously, it seems harder to be dropped from the side than it is to get into it.
It's not just a case of others in the shield comp not being up to test stand, imo, there is talent out there, but for the current players, one decent score in 4 innings doesn't cut it anymore.
Even though I bagged him 6 months ago, I can't wait for Warner to get back into the side, at least he has a backbone.
