No no no, you didn’t pay for 90 overs, just a bundle of rights including a seat, ability to buy food and beverages, but not for actual cricket!
Did Joyce get a job at CA?

Alan Border has been diagnosed with Parkinson's so not well. Last time I heard Ricky he was clearly angling to get a coaching role somewhere.Bring back the WACA, I say! And Alan Border. And Ricky Ponting ... Anyone really, who can play better than Grade cricket.

Yes and he struggled a little with the Gavaskar trophy presentation.AB was at the ground on Friday. Quite possibly would have still scored more runs than some of the Australian batters, Parkinson's and all.
As for the WACA, WBBL game was played there last night. I guess scheduling meant the men's test side got booted to Optus

There is no reason why they shouldn't be able to score runs. Maybe they haven't played enough test match style cricket these days? The Sheffield Shield as a training ground for the long game has pretty much been replaced by hit and run style which sadly is here to stay.
Yes. Guess I wasn't just thinking this match in particular but as a general trend. India bowled brilliantly. Also, I think the debut batsman is the only one in the team under 30? Tried checking that but it's tediousTo be fair, the bowling on day one was excellent. However, I do agree. Lack of Shield cricket with an early start to tests these days certainly doesn't help matters.
Bancroft had a very solid season last year...The shortcomings of the current Shield format have been laid bare with no obvious batting contender/s to step in to the national side. Where are the Di Venuto's, Cox's, Siddons's posting big scores in the Shield that keep the incumbents honest and the selectors under pressure? There's no Hussy's, Hodge's, Hayden's forcing their way in by weight of Shield runs. Konstas makes two hundreds (two!) and all of a sudden he's a serious contender that's unlucky not to get a baggy green. The breeding ground needs substantial attention but it can't compete with short form cricket.
Yes but was hardly even in the discussion for Warner's replacement, despite the fact he's an opener and had a played a bit of County cricket too. Kind of demonstrates the problem.Bancroft had a very solid season last year...
Yes as the old saying goes “use your bat dummy”. Feel a little sorry for the new opener McSweeney facing Bumrah.2 for 13, no, 3 for 12, you are kidding me! Pick an opener for heaven's sake! Not someone that you may think is an opener.......
How embarrassing,
