Australian Cricket Season 2024-2025

Steve Smith played almost every ball in a back foot squared up position. That says a lot about the bowling accuracy but any ball movement has a high chance of LBW or a nick. He managed it well in the past, especially in England, but it's exposing him now his form/timing is off. 23 innings without a hundred.

Dodgy pitch @Cossie? Or is Richardson doing a Bumrah?
Is SA the only team doing badly, and bearing in mind they've lost 3 of their key batters to the Test Team? I don't think so.

The first 2 were good balls, it's sad that Jake Lehmann hasn't lived up to the esrly promise he showed.

It's all good fun, certainly no malice intended. I was born in Adelaide, left at age 4, 65 years later, I still regard myself as a South Australian. :)

I will always follow SA in any sport, except AFL, for personal reasons I can't stomach, Port, nor the Crows.

Ah. Ok. That makes sense now. Thanks.

Don't know if I read this or saw it on the coverage, but out of the 260-odd test series' Australia has played, they've only won four after losing the first test. Does not bode well...
Adelaide usually holds some surprises. Kohl loves Adelaide though perfect track for him. And there seems to be denial that change is good.

Yes that was mentioned somewhere

Last time we won after going 0-1 was in 1997 !

Poor decision to have moved the first test from the Gabba. Good record on the greentops there.
Was definitely raining during the test ... I kept looking out the window and saying glad they weren't here.

... until I was wishing for a rain delay ....

Perth is a good starting point

And what with the Gabba out of action ahead of the 2032 Olympics

Yes like Melbourne in 1956 they will FLATTEN the dome-shaped ground to play soccer on it .. and then it’ll not be the same for cricket and will require a “drop-in” wicket to get anything like a good batting surface

That’ll leave Sydney as the last dome-shaped oval (and the Swans with endless home ground advantage)
Ever run up a 2-4 metre slope time and again during a footy game ???
