Maybe Gladys should use some of those police and barricades she set up for yesterday’s protest in other areas.
She should be known as “Glad the Implorer”
It’s obviously not working so bring out the stick

What do you mean “not working”?

Her pleading for people to stay home isn’t working. Still far too many moving about and cases out in the public. Needs to start enforcing it by any means possible.
How about giving the army infantry their assault weapons for patrols and shoot first, ask questions later?

Or....would that be overstepping the mark...?

You did say any means!

Hate to say it, but that’s just how it is. People need to work, they need to eat, they need to exercise. This is as good as it gets, and the end result has been a very stable rate of cases. Anyone thinking it’s getting to zero is either delusional or naïve.

We’re at the point that reporting daily cases is irrelevant. Gladys herself said in February that, once we’ve vaccinated the vulnerable, we don’t need to report case numbers.

I get the feeling that a lot of cases are households (which could be asymptomatic and partially isolating) and critical workers (which could be asymptomatic and out while infectious).

The idea of critical workplaces move toward 25% rotating is something that should be implemented immediately.

NSW Reporter James needs to take a day off and give us a break. Even the other reporters have had enough of him (let alone our health minister)

Don’t agree.
Should barricade in the worst affected suburbs. Only extremely critical workers allowed to leave.
People under these restrictions get full pay and entitlements, food and supplies are delivered door to door by ADF. Anyone needing medical assistance calls a hotline and a vehicle will pick them up and take them to appointments. ADF and police to door knock every house and check for compliance and test everyone on household at same time. Can run a team of nurses to give jabs aswell if need be

On a population basis that would equate to 16500 tests in NSW.but NSW had 71000 more tests that day.QLDs achiilles heel.
SA usually manages 20,000 during an outbreak.

Vic Presser ABC Quick Summary:

Barricade people in? This isn’t Armageddon. We’ve totally lost perspective in this country.

Vic presser - who is that? Sounds like shes reading a homily in church. Dreadful.

But it is not a race.
As a former most powerful person in the world said in 2020: the fewer tests conducted the lower the number of positive cases identified.

Then enjoy NSW being separated from the rest of Australia until 2022 because no one is opening up to them this year at this rate and in fact borders will only tighten
