The impacted area at the MCG covers the port Adelaide Cheer squad who are now unable to go the next match and are in self iso and three times testing regime. Testing and Vax bookings in SA will jump now.

Getting tested this morning. 3 of us were in Melbourne yesterday at one of our facilities and as a precaution we have been asked to test and isolate. Probably 40-50 people in the line already

Cases are linked and have been found by contact tracing.

301 primary contacts now identified.

Well at least at the football all persons have to reserve a seat and supply contact details when booking. Plus scan QR on entry. So contact tracing should be simple enough.

Seems to be working - have had one of our staff who attended advised they need to be tested and isolate until they return a negative result. Not entirely sure when they received the text message but they were tested first thing this morning.

Sutton has indicated that some cases have been found through going through the rings of contact. Cases now include 4 generations of cases.


This again showing the worth of the method.

The other key benefit of the rings is getting people who are not yet infectious into isolation. So you eventually get ahead of the transmission chain.

Two of my daughter's who have frequented all the named bars have both just said while talking to them that the Circus Bar tends to operate by really jamming in people and especially at that time of night. So lots of close contact, as in sardines on the dance floor etc.

The other named bars are more chill type bars where people hang out in groups with better spacing and more talking than dancing..

Hopefully that case who went there was not too infectious, and hopefully was there before their viral load built up.. Being most likely quite young they may not have been generating as much viral load.

I was in Melbourne (airport only) on Monday (left Adelaide at 9 and back by 1.30pm) and just received a text from SA Health. More worryingly, the couple behind me did not wear a mask in the Qantas lounge, nor on the flight and I didn't hear anything being said to them onboard. I knew though that SA Police would be questioning them on arrival and as I didn't see them as I walked about 100 metres ahead, sure enough, Police were talking.

The most popular spots at Somewhere Bar are definitely the outside tables...regardless of the weather...so hopefully case x was sitting out there.

Essendon are playing in Perth Saturday night and were due to fly out Friday. The WA government informed them last night that they need to now arrive today and have a negative test to play

So there is no mixing and the teams are moved in bubbles.

Port Adelaide players and officials have to self isolate currently because they shared a flight home from Melbourne with supporters who were seated in the MCG exposure zone.
The Essendon players are on VA681 that just departed MEL

It's not all based on charters. Some teams opt to do so.

I say this is largely due to the Victorian opening of vaccinations to public transport workers.
