It's not the most obvious, but it might still be there. If you have any other things in the Service NSW app like a driver or boat driver licence, the COVID certificate is not immediately obvious and you have to swipe the other items away first until you can see the COVID certificate. Here is what mine looks like:

Mark McGowan this afternoon again referring to "next year" when talking about interstate travel, in today's presser.

"We are keen to keep our current position until we get extremely high levels of vaccinations are in place".

"Somewhere between 80 and 90 percent we will set a date to reopen to NSW and VIC".

Also started to introduce language about restrictions that may need to follow opening borders - but also mentioned they are a "long way off".

I may need to revisit my comment from a few days ago about travel into WA next March (and start to reframe my thoughts about interstate work travel next year).

They're walking a tightrope, they won't want to introduce COVID until they've got some control on their hospital system, but if that takes 6 more months then they're going to be opening right before the winter flu season begins. I feel like it well could be close to a year before McGowan's fiefdom is open. If the iron ore price holds then he has money to pay off complaining industries.

my entire friend and family base is there, aside a select few (which is growing mind you) I think they are quite content.

How that changes if both VIC and NSW open (truly open) is another story, but I am starting to feel like it's not going to be a lot, or very quick.

Either way you can't plan around when the wall of McGowan might come down. Hence I am now moving on with my life. Maybe I'll arrange to catch up with my Mum in Porto instead of Perth.

They seem to be quite happy with the situation. It's not clear to me how, or when, the mindset will change.

So far it appears other jurisdictions have not reacted to Tasmania's lock-down. Given the tendency to apply restrictions retrospectively, I'm not sure if this is good or not?
If someone lands in WA tomorrow, ex Hobart, are they going to be marched off to quarantine? Given past behaviour, anyone who's been in southern Tasmania since Wednesday could potentially be classified as a health risk.

The NT has declared the lockdown areas Hotspots but only from the 12th. As far as I can tell thats the only area to have restrictions in place other than for exposure sites.

As at this afternoon's presser it was tests and 14 days isolation if you had been to an exposure site. TAS still very low risk on the controlled border site at time of writing.

Though I think a majority of the medicos at the hospital today supported the lockdown decision.The only vocal complaints were from a couple who were going to have a weekend in Hobart.
A couple of others who are even more cynical than I thought it might have been used as a way to hasten the vaccination rate.

When we get to 80% double vaccinated all Australians who are fully vaccinated with a negative PCR should be able to enter without any quarantine any state in Australia or if already in Australia travel to any state or territory.

Despite the fantastic NSW announcement today we cannot be a country until we have no internal artificial borders.
Get vaccinated, it is a race and it always was.

Still happens in SEQ after lockdown no 5 I think it is. Last three day lockdown the supermarkets were jammed within an hour and the TP flew off the shelves. For three days FFS.
