Are lounges open? I'm guessing no QF lounge access to VA passengers (with VA or PER paying).
If nothing else, the QF lounge is too far away from where VA are departing from.

I think VA have cut pretty much all their interstate flights to/from PERIf nothing else, the QF lounge is too far away from where VA are departing from.
It's not OT if the OP is feeling a little horse...OT and I'm no vet, but i always understood that horse was a non gendered term for the species. Given that female horses are Mares, males horses are Stallions and neutered stallions are called geldings.
A friend of my son works at PER airport. The Airport spent tens of thousands of dollars gearing up for the Feb 5 reopening. I believe the air conditioning and other basic functions cost around $10,000 a day to run. However they are not shutting down again because the dollar and time cost of restarting yet again would not be worth it.Perth Airport announces closure of some terminals
Perth Airport will lose some terminals to reduce operating costs after continued low passenger numbers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The domestic Terminal 1 will be closed from the weekend with all Virgin Australia flights forced into Terminal 2. Terminal 3 will only operate from 3.30am to 8am on weekdays for some FIFO services as the recent backflip on border restrictions bites.
Perth Airport chief executive Kevin Brown said the WA border closures had been catastrophic for the aviation sector in WA, including Perth Airport.

Scott Morrison has sensationally claimed West Australia Premier Mark McGowan did the right thing in delaying the state’s border reopening.
WA was originally slated to reopen its border to other states on February 5, but last month Mr McGowan announced that would be pushed back due to the Omicron surge in the eastern states.
The delay has been widely panned.
But on Thursday, Mr Morrison conceded the WA Premier had done right by his state, saying Omicron was a “very different virus” and changed the goalposts.
“The things we were doing before, don’t work the same way under the Omicron virus,” Mr Morrison said.

polling. There is only one reason he's had to spit that out supportive border rubbish between gritted teeth and we all know why so no point talking about it.
Not sure it matters much at this point in timepolling.

It also makes McGowan fully, totally and completely accountable for the decisions he makes. It means the argument that he was “bullied” into it moot. There is only one reason he's had to spit that out supportive border rubbish between gritted teeth and we all know why so no point talking about it.

And there sure is plenty of that.I think Morrison has come to accept that due to the parochial nature of many Western Australians, any real criticism of the the WA government really has to come from within WA.
But zero effective opposition to campaign for himAnd there sure is plenty of that.

Agree. And that is expressed through the state election results I would submit. Feds should stay out of harassing state premiers. Doesn’t do them any good (the Feds that is).I think Morrison has come to accept that due to the parochial nature of many Western Australians, any real criticism of the the WA government really has to come from within WA.
Same experience & care factor zero that soon WA app will provide access to all kinds of Govt services...Well sitting here in Sydney I just got this ad about an app:
