Australians not welcome at Fairmont in CA

No issues with service when I've stayed. Would stay again.

This thread seems to be based on 2nd or 3rd hand comment with zero information provided so is worthless in basing view either way.

I am the odd one out.stayed at 3 Fairmonts in the Canadian Rockies.All expensive.Service at 2 of them poor.And some of the smallest bathrooms we have ever had.
But no problems being an Ocker.Plenty of staff hailed from Australia.

Not at all, drron. We've always been greeted well (as Australians) and had good service from Fairmonts in USA and Canada - stayed in some 10+ now. Some of the Fairmont hotels are not modern we've always found them comfortable. Yes small bathrooms and shower over bath except for some suites.
We've also been able to obtain upgrades to suites using our President club status room upgrade certificates at times when technically the upgrade only applies to standard rooms. They offered this to us in Fairmont Empress earlier this year to a nice large two room suite. The Club lounges at Fairmonts have been some of our favourite ones in North America.

I stayed in the San Jose CA Fairmont with a group of about 9 Aussies all with individual rooms for four nights (November 2015). We were in the bar most nights and everything was fine. I would stay with them again anytime.
