SYD-HND-OIT return, ANA Y, 25k + USD525 (50k full miles)

not the best deal going round, but got rid of my LM and given HND-OIT return itself is A$700 figure it's pretty good. Also the 2 long legs are overnighters

now to find accommodation for the 2 QFs of the RWC that weekend!

Just booked AC SYD-YVR for 2 in J for Jan 14, 2020 - more than 4 seats available. Still waiting for e-tickets to be issued otherwise all good. (160,000 miles total).

Tip for other users who wish to book AC (which I only learned this morning on FT) if you select "Smart Search" AC flights will show up (STA) but if you select the flight LM errors out on the next step. This has been an issue with AC bookings for years - I just revert to screen shots. HOWEVER, if you select AC as your airline (instead of Smart Search) - the booking going through without an error. (The tip on FT was for Air China bookings but I thought I'd give it a try for AC).

Just booked....2 x pax for June 2019

SYD-BKK F ( TG )
BKK-ICN J ( TG )
ICN-LAX F ( OZ )

85000 miles +$1915 USD

screen shot.. they called me 10.20am local and confirmed and paid in 10 mins.. 1 of the rare great experiences with LM

TG J MEL-BKK-LHR - weekend before Xmas.

Booked successfully online for 92,500 + USD87.

Another LM booking success:-

YVR-ICN(AC)-SYD(OZ) and
YVR-HND-SYD(NH)

Would have liked 2 seats on the same flights but alas only 1 seat released to LM by OZ and NH on SYD route. Hopefully I can change the one via ICN to NH close in (ie cancel and re-book).

Account(s) almost down to zero - will keep it that way - LM program just too much trouble (combined with lack of availability on *A partners). I could weaken on next promo.

I've been patiently waiting for 6 weeks for the next Lifemiles sale to start. We nabbed some fabulous Luxury Escapes vouchers in Jan and I wanted to get there and back in style.

So today I booked 2x TG J BKK-BNE in October. 80k points was only $1320USD.
Almost booked the F via Sydney but decided to save my pennies for the next trip instead.

T'was super easy, all online, had my eticket within 10 mins and had my seats selected within 12 :)

First time posting successful booking, please bear with me if I done something wrong.

Forgot to post this earlier, I booked it in early Jan.

CA: PEK to SYD (J) 2x pax - Used 80,000 + Tax (From memory it was around 130 USD)

Their old website did show availability but I wasn't able to proceed to the payment page. Therefore had to use the screenshot method + contact their call centre and was able to book it successfully.

You did it perfectly and well done for getting CA it can be hard to make that airline work.

To get Air China to proceed to payment page you need to select 'Air China' from the drop down box of airlines. Using 'smart search' will show the results, but errors out.

June HKT-BKK-ICN-KHH (TG/TG/BR) in J.
Available on the web site search, but blew up at the passenger entry stage, so had to phone it in.
36k + USD57
(not the best value ever, but the alternative paid tickets are either expensive or have horrible routes and/or timings)

Simple BKK-MEL in J for 40k points.

Ideally wanted a domestic TG sector to start (KBV) with short connection, but the website doesn't play nice & couldn't be bothered with screenshots / risk of other sector disapparing what with generally quite poor availability these days.

Was this a last minute booking?
Didn’t check LM lately but TG J/F long haul availability currently restricted on UA to mostly Y unless booking T-14
