Bummer , In a similar situation , although no connections.

Therefore, I need to contact Lifemiles to reticulate in business and likely to not get difference in points. Is this an accurate picture? Not likely that Thai would reroute via Singapore and put me in an SIN A380 suite?? lol

I would buy a powerball ticket if they re-routed you on SQ F.

Spoke to the CSM on TG476 today and he confirmed the cancellation of F and change to B777 with new J seats for this winter schedule.
Was good while it lasted...

Technical problem with booking: went to pay for an award seat, and while credit card was being processed, screen flashed there was a problem with credit card. I only managed to get the first 4 letters of the 6 digit booking number. Points and credit card appeared not to have been deducted. Of course, award seat now no longer available when i try to book again:evil:.How can I retrieve the 6 digit booking number? Can't find it in my account...if i ring Avianca up, can they find the booking number? if so, I suppose I could then pay over the phone. Any experiences / suggestions? thanks

If the booking hasn't been processed, then the seat should be released back into inventory in the next few hours. When you see the seat again, try using a different card.

Yes, that's what I think too. Tried ringing Avianca but you know what a painful experience that is! I guess I'll wait...

Just wait until the seat is released back. Takes about an hour normally. Otherwise call the Lifemiles dept in the call centre and quote your LM number. They can see all the bookings you have made and can retrieve the reference number for you, even if it hasn't been finalised.

....and I've had the CSR delete the booking that hadn't been paid for to release it into inventory so that I could rebook immediately.

I am seeing zero availability on SQ MEL to Europe within the 14 day window the past week or so ~ looking for a ticket for my spouse about 2 weeks from now. I know such availability is not guaranteed but any suggestions on alternate ways to bring it up? (I am looking for 1 seat MEL-FRA or MEL-ZRH about 2 weeks from now, and have just been searching that route one way nominating First then dropping down to Business once the results come up).

I don't ever see much availability on SIN-FRA or SIN-ZRH so I don't see this as unusual...have you tried that sector separately to see what comes up? MEL-LHR has a far higher change of success...even MEL-CDG is better than the 2 you're looking for I think.

Thanks for your response & suggestions bcworld. The thing is I was seeing some availability inside the 14 day window last month ~ just doing some test searches ~ including MEL-ZRH with 2xA380 sectors…

I have also been trying LHR & CDG as alternatives, but nothing so far.

Well I am seeing MEL-LHR in SQ J available on Sep 9, 10 and 11 so it still exists!

The seat was not released. ..rang Avianca and I could not understand the guy, so gave up! Another seat opened up the day after I was looking at, so I booked that instead. How long does Avianca take to ticket SQ flights? (Flight is this coming Sunday)

Every post on this thread during the last 24-48 hours had me excited as I as hoping it would be to announce a 100% bonus miles offer for September.

So I take it it's not happening ? It's already 1st Sep in Colombia isn't it

Don't panic, kpc, in my (very limited) experience, in can take a couple of days:
For example: SQ228 on 29/8/14, the confirmation email from LifeMiles arrived 7:02am 25/8; confirmation from SQ arrived 1:59pm, 27/8.
Similar timeframes on the other 3 LM/SQ redemptions I've done, all late bookings with ticketing arriving 2 days before the flight.
As soon as I received the Booking Ref from LM though, I was able to go into SQ's website to select seats and book the cook, before receiving SQ's emails. (I joined Krisflyer prior to doing this - not sure if that made a difference.)
