re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

I pounced when they first became available. Just over 11 months out !!

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

That's awesome joffaa. How did you pick the date? Just one that had 2 seats available then kept checking back for more seats?
Well done

Thai has traditionally been extremely generous with award space. They have a large initial allocation, but will only ever release two seats at a time. In order to book three (as stated above), you have to hold two, and wait for the 3rd and 4th to be added to they system. Most times this is instantaneous.

The time it won't occur is if the initial allocation has been exhausted. Then you have to play the waiting game. But Thai being Thai, they often continue to release more award seats, even on flights other airlines would consider 'full' and only offer full paid tickets.

There has been some clamping down on TG F availability in the last year or so. But I haven't heard the same about business class.

Looks like 2x1 offer is up on website....a few days earlier than i expected....

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

I just did a dummy booking as next week is statement week..but when running 35k 50k and 75k miles through the system it kept warning me that it would go over the limit and not earn the bonus miles.

Is this normal and sorts itself out? Ill be a first time buyer so no previous offers taken up this year.

I think that's because you have already purchased some miles this year

Re: New Avianca "Life iles" 100% promo

Got the e-mail this morning. Trying to find business class to the US next winter.

Re: New Avianca "Life iles" 100% promo

I previously bought 20k points in the last promotion,my email says I can buy 55k miles. So it's obviously worked out what you have bought this year to date.

Re: New Avianca "Life iles" 100% promo

I'm only able to buy 28K worth as well.

Tempting to top up for some asia flights in 2016 I'm hoping to book in a few months

Re: New Avianca "Life iles" 100% promo

Is anyone else getting an incorrect cost for the miles?

Seems I'm being billed for 56K of miles instead of 28K that I'm purchasing.

It looks ok to me. I put in 10,000 and it comes up at $330 with 10,000 purchase miles & 10,000 bonus miles.

I had similar issues although I didn't purchase because I believe it's a glitch.

My son's account has not purchased any miles yet this year, it was created in April so I am entitled to the promotion. When I typed in 75000, it showed I can get 75000 bonus miles (so no problem), but when I go onto the payment page (where you put in your credit card detail), it only says I am purchasing 75000 without the bonus for the full RRP of $2700+. It will only show bonus mile if I purchase 50000 or less. That is why I didn't proceed with the purchase as I know from experience that the payment page should always say the cost of the 75000 miles purchased plus the 75000 2x1 bonus.

I already wrote an email to Life Miles. Let's see what they say. If I were you, I will get in contact with LM immediately.

Yesterday LM wouldn't even allow me to purchase any saying that my son's limit has been reached! Don't worry, LM IT is known to be temperamental. I always get issues fixed by calling them!
