working ok now. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like they've fixed the glitch.

There was always hope.

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

Seems to work with Lifemiles number but not username/email for login.

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

A data point: Just tried to call and cancel a flight, and the system is apparently still having an upgrade, and they wouldn't accept my lifemiles PIN to process the transaction. They said to call next week instead.

Gee that's a bit ****, what if your flight was in the next day or 2?

apparently it doesn't matter. I think there's a restriction cancelling LM close in anyway? (as in not possible). but you have up to a year or something after the flight date to cancel. (unless I've got my programs mucked up!!)

Well it is actually, the flights are on Friday! They said, as MEL_Traveller mentioned, that it doesn't matter if it's after, just that they couldn't make the changes +/- 24 hours of the flight. They did say I could try calling tomorrow night in case the system is fixed (didn't sound optimistic) but I'm now in hospital until the 24 hour window, and I didn't really want to be trying to do all the organsing from the hospital bed. Certainly puts a cramp in my style ;)

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

Agree - That was my experience when I was looking in to it last month for travel in OCT. I ideally wanted J from FRA-SYD, but could find little to no availability on both Lifemiles & UA so ended up spending the extra points and went F. Fingers crossed the first leg from FRA-BKK is also on an A380. Maybe you are looking at a block out or busy period?

You do realise how dreadful their non-A380 J is?!

It is pretty good on their 777-300ER's too, which they run as the secondary flights to FRA and LHR as well as all of Scandinavia. But 100% agree on the 747, 200's and 300's.

Yup I do, have flown both TG J & F on the 747's. Hence why it wasn't to hard to convince my self to spend the extra points on F :) I was mainly looking at J as they fly the A380 out of FRA which is the overnight leg of the flight. But there is always the risk of being TG'd

I know a lot of people bag it, but I would say that for a daytime flight, I really didn't mind J. The seat is pretty comfy and the food and drink was good. Overall it beats the cough out of sitting in Y for 9 hours.

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

Does anyone know whether they are still denying sceeenshot bookings that are mixed cabins? Thanks

When did they start denying screenshot bookings in this circumstance? I made 2 such bookings in April & May, no problem.

If you can see the mixed class booking on the search engine it can be booked but if you try and make your own mixed class routing you will most likely get this message :
