Thanks for the replies, i should have known itd be the site itself, while i love the cheaper J flights, they dont like making things easy for anyone...a banner on their log in page would have been nice:p

[QUOTE="Most people will tell you not to stock up for various reasons, certainly all bloggers do, but if you've got a specific redemption in mind that LM has traditionally been easy to get then can't see why not.. They've already had a recent deval so hopefully won't be another soon.. I use a cc that doesn't charge a forex fee to buy.[/QUOTE]

I just spent USD$1K worth to get me 80K miles. This will get me BKK - SYD rtn on TG in J which would otherwise be a little over USD$3K on the Thai website. Brilliant value for me living in Asia. And heaps of availability. Partner also 'stocked-up'. Great deal and thanks for sharing!

I just tried to buy some Lifemiles and got to credit crd stage and said error try again. Just tried for second time and a message came up saying they are aware of my request and will confirm it soon. I have paid but still showing zero points in my account. Can anyway offer advice on this I am new to all this. cheers. Helen

I should say I THINK I've paid but I got no receipt or confirmation number???

I think the best idea would be to give them a call to sort it out especially if it hasn't given you a booking number for your booking. I had to call a couple times today and the wait wasn't too long

I have booked 2 Business Class tickets (fly with Singapore Airlines) from PER to SGN via Lifemiles without any problems. That's 50K Lifemiles for each passenger.

I have been trying to purchase life miles for hrs. I rang them on the US number (which was the BVIs) and was asked to ring back after 2 hrs as there was a glitch in their system and they couldn't manage to get me to pay for them on he phone. They asked me to call back in the morning their time (after another 3 hrs). I am now trying the UK number and have been on hold now for 10 mins. I am getting very frustrated with the whole thing. Any thoughts anyone???

Welcome to LifeMiles! You are ringing during a promotional period & apparently on a day of IT problems. I think all users of Lifemiles have experienced periods of frustration but have weighed those times up against the joys of travelling in premium cabins at great rates.
All points buying schemes present challenges & I can relate to your frustration

Thanks for that RB. Yrs I Hear y

You are right RB you are correct butI am still without points. Tomorrow is another day I guess!!

Well I just bought miles for myself and mrsdrron.quickest it has ever been.but I did have to scale back-must be based on what you have bought in the last 12 months rather than calendar year.

Finally got around to buying miles, only a small buy of 40k+58k bonus, should last a couple of years so long as the points+pay option remains viable.

Its such a tease buying miles knowing i wont be using them for 10 months or so, but want to book the tickets well in advance :(

Well done FR. I just tried again and it is now telling me I can purchase the miles without the promotion. I am guessing because it is now 28th here in Oz and promotion was up to 27th. I did ask that question on the phone yesterday and they assured me it was 27th their time and that I would be OK!! Ahrrr!

it is the 27th US time. Still available for a few more hours.

I just topped up. It went through with out any problems and I got the 150% bonus.

Sent through screen shots yesterday and waiting for the call to book. Interestingly when I first logged on today the flights were there (with old search engine - connecting flights). Then did the same search a few mins later and the new search engine came up and the flights disappeared. Waiting, waiting waiting for their call to book flights.
