Just as an aside, I noticed that CA are sporadically showing first class non-stop PEK-JNB (CA867) on LM.

Sorry, meant to say Air China (CA).. as i can see it's showing on the LM website..

I haven't tried SS on CA yet as it just recently became available. However I noticed that you can go further to the pax detail page which in the past would have errored out. So it seems to me that it's bookable online and hence shouldn't have a problem to do SS. Doesn't hurt to try.

send an email for the SS this morning.. will wait and see :-) cant find any available flights for March/April, and CA is my last resort. :-)

...and CA is my last resort. :)

CA is - supposedly - available back on line for redemptions after being blocked for some time. So should be possible for LM to book if you have found individual sectors.

CA isn't all that bad. They're not on the same level as Singapore or EVA, but would sit reasonably comfortably with Lufthansa, Thai, All Nippon, based on the overall product (bed + IFE + food + lounges)

I'm open to try CA...and found via PEK and PVG ..will see whether they can offer SQ instead when they call :-)

I've been TG-ed with F sector from KIX-BKK swapped to A350, onward sector to SYD is still F. This was ticketed pre LM enhancement last year. What are my options with LM? Would LM offer changing my flights for free or refund of points, etc? Any tips would be hugely appreciated - I'm fairly new to LM and didn't take long for TG to TG-ed me. :(

Sorry to hear that. It happened to me a couple of times unfortunately.

Yes, you'll need to call LM to reissue/sync the ticket cuz the booking class is different now. Yes, they'll do it for free cuz it's an involuntary change. But they might not refund the points.

I had this happen to my flight last year when my F to NRT became J due to 747 switch to 777-300....I was told to contact LM's infamous "department of involuntary changes" which I have dealt with before to get it reticketed which isn't a drama, but needless to say wasn't pleased with angle flat so ended up cancelling and rebooking with ANA....

If you are planning to take the second leg which is still in F I would imagine there will be no refund of points unless u down graded this flight to Bus class. You should not be charged for any of these changes as they were involuntary

Looks like bonus offer is targeted this time and varies between accounts. OMAAT got only 125%

130% for me which is somewhat tempting whilst there's still some availability out of SYD in December...

Rest of the world is opening up however - multiple through flights (LH connecting to TG) ex Europe to AU. Asia to the Americas. Search engine vastly improved!

Seems to happen every time there is a Bonus offer. Then, when the offer is over, it goes back to being cough.

Funny that.

Lucky they have these offers every few months. Best is to buy and book immediately.

Could be coincidence, but this was available before the offer - a couple days ago (so could in theory be related).
