Lifemiles newbie here. Seems my max is 125%

Can you tell me more about an offer through OMAAT ( I read that web site)?

I received a 135% offer straight up.
The rest of the family130%.
I have a few cancellations in the pipeline, so I doubt I'll be buying any more this time round.

During recent offers OMAAT and other blogs managed to negotiate 5% more than highest standard offer.

130% here.
I really have trouble with their availability on ANZ and SQ

Can someone please remind me of the value proposition of buying miles vs miles plus cash. I have enough for J North America to Asia which is the routing I want. Most days F is also on this route so wonder whether to buy the extra miles now or just top up when i get the ticket. Thanks

2 benefits... (a) minimises initial cash outlay to buy the full number of miles, reducing risk in case your flights aren't bookable and/or (b) extends the purchasing power by giving you more trips for the same number of miles (bearing in mind there is an annual cap on the number of miles you can purchase, but this excludes top-up).

Using top-up at the sweet point gives you miles at around 1.5c in total. Compared to a possible 1.375c if you max out the 2-4-1 plus bonus. The difference in cost is therefore marginal but you get the benefits of (a) and (b) above.

But if you are ready to go with a specific flight in mind, and this will be your only major trip this year (ie you don't need a whole bunch of miles later that will take you over your annual cap), then you might as well purchase the miles.

NZ and SQ limit their availability to all *A partners.

Lately I find better availability on LM then UA, mostly for mixed airline bookings like BR/TG or NH/OZ Aus to Asia.

If you’re after SQ J on LM your best chance ATM is SQ288

Looks like more schedule & aircraft changes by Thai. Guess we will have to ring Lifemiles
