Just wanting to get some information from people here about a rather peculiar looking seat map I've just encountered in manage my bookings

I've booked SYD - NRT - SYD in premium economy in september to travel with my mother so I was looking for 2 seats together. However, the seat map it displays me for premium economy is 2-3-2 from rows 23-26

it looks suspiciously like a business class seat arrangement rather than premium economy.

is it a glitch? Or is qantas using 4 class aircraft on the route again and selling as a 3 class? (I had this happen when I flew LAX-AKL once and boy was I surprised to get a skybed instead of a Y+ seat)

I'd select a seat in the business cabin and hope that they don't change the configuration!

I have some friends doing this route soon and they're booked into W. They can *only* select J seats. All of W is actually being sold as Y.

This is not new though; we saw this frequently on QF73/74 (SYD-SFO) before it vanished; meant I never travelled in Y seats!

Interesting observation NZJuniorDoc. Would you mind sharing (PM me if you like) the date/s you've booked as I'm looking to purchase a Y+ return to NRT in Sept also and may as well try my luck if the dates suit!! :)

Thanks drewbles - just did a few searches on EF and seemed to find a few 4 class config's for the trip. Hopefully they don't swap configs - would be good to surprise the hugs and kisses with J seating! AFF has been such a blessing - yet again!!!
