Also very keen to hear exp of a couple sharing middle seats as to whether or not interaction is at all comfortable or if both returned to ground with 'cricked necks'?

We're in 4D/G in 5 weeks and will happily post our experience. Flying on our 20th wedding anniversary, so I imagine there'll be chit chat, champagne and lots of longing gazes out over the little purple screen.....

Who am I kidding? Scratch that. I reckon we'll keep the screen closed and enjoy the solitary PEACE and QUIET for the first time in 20 years.

We've got middle row 3 booked for outgoing and 3A and 4A on returned. Figured after 3 weeks of being together 24/7 means we're over togetherness and need alone time.

Has anyone flown in Premium yet? Would be great to hear some thoughts and seat recommendations. Got a trip coming up and I haven't been any to find any first hand experiences anywhere. Cheers!

Flying on the 9th with a work colleague. Not quite a "couple" experience but close enough I'm sure. I'll report back on the middle seats.

So middle seats are great for couples or travel companions definitely no "cricked necks" as the seats are angled towards each other it's almost like your sitting face to face.

I know this is at times a sensitive topic to some here but can anyone confirm if there are any bassinet rows/seats in The Business?

I have read conflicting reports where some say 1D + 1G are bassinet seats, some say that row 8 is a bassinet row and some reports state that there are no bassinets in The Business and pax must book Premium for this.

I believe No bassinets in J - have to be a lap baby or book in PE.

Though when you look at the updated seat map - there is an icon for bassinets in purple - but I cannot find it locating one:

I would have thought def will have bassinet seats in J - bassinets need to be suspended from bulkheads IIRC so that will narrow down possibilities.

Have a look at the street view images of row 1 d & 1g , those two storage type areas in front/ on top of these seats are the bassinets.

I think the confusion re (j/c) bassinets is brought about because VAs website/seatmaps have a symbol for j/c bassinets, YET there are no bassinets symbols on the ACTUAL seatmap. In addition, there are NO bassinet symbols/locations in ANY CABIN CLASS. I also notice VA seatmaps don't show bassinet positions on the A332 aircraft. So I guess VA don't want to 'actively promote' bassinets

I flew SYD-LAX last week and was chatting at the bar to a bloke who said he was a reporter (for Sky, IIRC). He was flying PE out and J back, and would be filing a report on both cabins, so keep an eye out for that........

Before anyone points it out, I think the staff had been told that he would be on board, hence why he was allowed to use the bar while flying PE ;)

was he 'a guest of VA' ? looking forward to his 'unbiased' report

I can't remember, but he'll have to make the appropriate comment / disclaimer on his report!

Such declarations are usually not done on TV, only in print/online (although many print/online outlets don't run declarations either).
