BA J Sale PER-BKK with many options

the isue with this is that the timing from SYD-PER is really bad... you land in the wee hours of the morning and only leave in the wee hours at night

similarlly PER - SYD too... IIRC its a 6am departure from PER!

Edit: you may be able to book a more reasonable QF flight to/from SYD, but for those that need a BA number, your options are limited

I fail to see what the issue is here. J lounge in PER before slight. Suite in the sky for the flight. Sleep more if you need.

BA have a Business class sale on $2,800 +++ (About $500 to be expected) that can route

QF PER-SYD (Get the A330 Business Suites!)
BA SYD-SIN
JL SIN-TYO-BKK (Yes, not a typo!) (Try a Dreamliner or better yet the old 767 with similar suites to QF A330)

and same in reverse.

Amazing value!

What's the fare code for this? can't seem to see it in EF?
I see a D2BAAU but it prices as US$3319 i think

Seeing ISALEAU again.
Is there a way to see this priced up in Matrix? Otherwise what's the best way to try to get this fare priced up online?

it never really went away. Been seeing it for months. I use a competent travel agent familiar with this fare (i trained her) in Perth. PM or reply here if you want her details.

Seeing ISALEAU again.
Managed to price this up in matrix (painfully building step by step)
Seems like the outbound from PER can be on any QF flight number (no need the bad BA coded departure times)

Ah! Seems like this fare is ticket by 28 Jan? Or am I reading wrongly. Fare may increase by a few hundred dollars post this sale

I

If it goes away. History shows it returns after a few weeks.

Ah! Risk I need to take.

Thinking of ticketing outbound late Feb, with a return Feb 2019. Obviously cant book the return today, so it will entail a future change.

This fare is not just Perth. We are using it from BNE 3 times this year with the BA legs in F.
The problem is most TAs know nothing of this fare. And if they ring BA they deny it's existence.
If you can't price it you can PM the writer of post 19.
Even at full price the fare certainly beats the OW Circle Asia fare though a bit more restrictive.

Every time I go to enter the code it comes up with errors, trying to depart from BNE - should I try SYD or does it have to be PER as the departure point??

PER is best bang for buck. But it’s available from all major cities.

i cant seems to price it on BA website.. can anyone assist ?

Yeah. That doesn’t work. Some people have had some success manipulating ITA matrix. I just use a Perth based TA. For $50 booking fee. She just does it.

Yes a TA is your friend.

The fare code is ISALEAU.

IMO best is to first price your itinerary on ITA MATRIX make sure it is bookable (note that SIN - TYO - BKK there are certain dates around Fri/Sat/Sun where I class on JL is not available - really annoying)

IIRC choosing these flights will cause matrix to fail because of zero I availability (EF is your friend for this)
SIN-HND no I class on Sat morning (Fri overnight)
HND-SIN no I class on Sunday mornings
BKK-HND no I class Fri night

Here is a dummy booking that I priced up.

And this is what I really booked (well kinda but not exact dates) :) for close to the matrix price (slightly less). I booked via BA Call Centre (HKG BA GGL Line). I gave them the fare basis and fed him the itinerary. The only difference was the final SYD-PER leg had to be in I for some strange reason.

Worried about the NRT -HND transfer on the inbound (but that was the only overnight connection that could work - BKK-HND was I zero unfortunately for the overnight).

So taking the scenic route - arrive BKK, quick dinner in BKK, go back to airport. Rushed transfer in TYO. And then down to SIN, SYD and PER :)

Looks like you got hosed about $200 in BA bullshit. Still not a bad deal. My TA priced it out approx $3,300
