I don't think that would have helped as BA is the only oneworld carrier that services LYS.
I initially thought this too, but Iberia flies there, as well as Iberia Express.

According to the oneworld map, LYS-MAD is marketed by IB but operated by Air Nostrum which I don't believe is a oneworld member (it certainly can't be used on the xONEx product anyway). I don't see any IB marketed and operated in the map.
Air Nostrum IS permitted on the xONEx product .....
Who told you it was not ?
I flew Iberia Express (I2, who are a Oneworld Affiliate) on LYS-MAD and after making a missing points claim, received points and status credits with QFF. They actually gave me the wrong booking class, so I got an extra 5SC. I was actually told I couldn't use the lounge, and didn't bother trying, though that didn't sound right. Did get priority baggage tags though (not that that's worth much given the time it takes for the first bag to appear at MAD).I initially thought this too, but Iberia flies there, as well as Iberia Express.
Thank you for the insight.Qantas Award Booking? You should have contacted Qantas first.
Their policy with oneworld bookings on Qantas (081-) tickets is to re-accommodate on alternate oneworld flight(s) in the same cabin as booked at no charge.
