Re the events, I would say that I have been invited to ~1 per (non-COVID) year of being P1. Never to something I've really wanted to go to though.
On an unrelated matter, out of curiosity, when flying Dom Y on a 737, do any of my fellow P1s get automatically allocated row 4? Despite my preferences noting forward and on most of these flights row 4 (in both window and aisle) having availability, I always seem to be put in row 5. Not so much an issue as I change it straight away but curious more than anything.
This is because 4A is for pax with service animals.Im also forward with a view and I get row 5. I then change to 4.
Strange that its not automatically allocated but i guess i will add it to all the other quirky occurrences. On another matter, i am delighted to advise that a domestic CSM actually made a real effort with his only P1 whilst on a Perth-Bris flight this week. He even wrote out a very nice thank you card. Big shout out to Phil!!!
They didn’t, overflow calls go there and the agents answer as VIP as you are P1.Interesting just had to discuss a booking and rang VIP time and after a lengthy hold I was answered and the person didn't seem to know what they were doing even asked me to verify my full name 3 times. Turns out she was based in Auckland. She assured me she was a VIP team member. Anyway after 20 minutes I hung up as it was going nowhere. I will wait till I am.at the airport tomorrow and they can sort it.
When did Qf start a VIP team in Auckland?
