Bangkok - First Lounge

What are lounge offerings like in BKK flying Thai as a Star Alliance Gold (TK) compared to flying QF as a OWE on QF24.
I have now visited 3 TG lounges in BKK and I would have to say the offerings compared to QF lounge are same same.

In fact one of the TG in concourse E does not have much on offer when I am there but the other 2 are quite OK.

Believe me, the CX'First/Business' lounge is pitiful, I'm there now, not much food, Had to find an attendant and then ask for champagne. Brought one glass! No toilet/rest room.

Unfortunately, QF, BA and JAL all closed at this time.

Lightyears ahead I'd say...had 12 hours in there about 2 weeks ago.

Just had a very pleasant dinner, only gripe is that when asking for a glass of wine, only the glass is produced, not the bottle, so you can't see what it was, unless you then ask them to bring the bottle, so you can see.

The BKK Emirates lounge is nice and quiet with a wide variety of food choices. But just like the SIN Emirates lounge the place has no character.

And I don't like the staff hanging around watching the food and running inside and replacing what I have just taken. It feels creepy.

TG has many lounges in BKK, I've found they have the best shower facilities going and also Some have slumber rooms which are handy after a heavy weekend!

I don't really rate the qf or cx lounges as worth wasting time on.

Really? I thought the comparison was between the BKK CX lounge and the HKG CX Wing lounge.
Apologies. I had the EK lounge comment on my mind. Once I realised the comparison was for CX lounges I deleted the quote to your post. Sorry.

The BKK CX Lounge is a combined J/F lounge, it makes the QF BKK lounge seem like luxury in comparison. No toilets, small & cramped.

Sorry to raise an old thread but i havent been able to find a definitive answer on this. Can a QF WP access the BKK EK lounge when flying Jetstar Asia? I have to fly BKK-SIN before flying home and it'll be on a QF ticket with a QF flight number.

And secondly, is the refurbished EK lounge any better than the QF lounge?

You have to be flying a flight operated by Qantas or Emirates to get access to Emirates lounges. So even if the Jetstar flight has a QF number you wouldn't/shouldn't be allowed in to an Emirates (or a OneWorld lounge for that matter), only the Qantas lounge.

A few codeshares is a long way from a partnership

If you happened to be on an EK codeshare (JQ metal) as an EK elite could you get access? Seeningly not as QF elite
