So, a QF SG/WP flying on a Qantas marketed and operated flight using an AAdvantage award with an 001- ticket number will not get access to the EK lounge at BKK?

So if I fly 3K with QF code share and 081 ticket number do I get access to EK lounge?

When I went through in November the lounge attendant told me it had to be a Qantas ticket with a Qantas flight number. I'm a WP flying J, neither of which was raised.

A colleague of mine who is Silver and a QC member flew QF24 on 20th Jan and was refused entry at the CIP lounge when he tried to get in. He tried to argue the point but they told him they'd only let him in if he paid so he gave up.

Anyone else had this or am I missing something here? Red Roo, is this something that needs to be communicated with CIP lounge staff?

We were flying AY & QF ... we used the CX lounge both times and no issues. The noodle bar is very nice and the staff very friendly.

As WP you'll get access to CX Lounge - I think it's more the case that if you don't have status but are a QP member, you're being denied access to the CIP lounge, despite it being stated otherwise on the QF Website.

Lounge Location | Thailand | Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport | International Business

If you (sadly) have to fly Jet* (non-BusinessMax), tough luck - even QP membership isn't going to get you access in BKK, only access is if you're flying QF.

According to the JQ website, flying JQi or 3k on a Economy "Starter" MAX also gets lounge access in BKK...not just Business MAX. They are listed as different lounge between Business and Economy however

Lounges | Jetstar

The reality of access may be different at the airport, as detailed by myself and others.
