Well played, Straitman. :)
I see some new names have emerged on the list but assume that the "non-profiteering altruistic scalper" had only one ticket available.
Shall have to reconcile myself to missing the fun this time around. :(

Have a great time, everybody.
Will try to be faster off the mark next time - assuming I am in the country, that is.
(One of the inevitable challenges for members of this board - being half a world away from the action. :))

The "new names" were previously shown as something like other +1 but they have now been outed.

Anyone who is interested in dinner on Sat 9 Aug, please "like" and if there is enough interest I will start a thread so we can get exact numbers including any +1's etc. If only a couple interested, we can prob organise on this thread.

At this stage can you please put Mrs. B and I down as gold. Unfortunately there are some things happening that could prevent either one or both of us attending dinner. Fingers crossed however.

Looks I'll be able to take the Adelaide nona's shopping. They can't have known about this one or they would already have taken me there on one of my (many) requests for South Australian produce. I'm a bit obsessed. I've flown home from Port Lincoln with 30 kilos of live Coffin Bay Oysters in my luggage.

I did this last Christmas when we were in port Lincoln to do the shark diving. Ended up taking around 10 kilos of oysters each for the 4 of us.

I'm now swaying back to just going out to dinner, rather than going to see AFL. Port have been disappointing lately and I'm not sure I trust GPH by himself chaperoning all those ladies ;)

There is now a separate dinner thread that I can't work out how to link to

I have called Penfolds to finalise our arrangements and pay for 16 pax to taste the Grange. That's more than half the group
There are some serious tasters here.

To make the whole thing work Penfolds have split us into 2 groups (I think this has been previously mentioned) with 8 Grange tasers in each group. Group 1 is scheduled for 2.00pm and Group 2 fpr 2.30pm. The public tasting area is available to us before and after these times paying attention to the bus departure time of 3.30pm

For your information the groups are:

Group 1
munitalP + 1
JessicaTam
TomVexille
blackcat20
Anna
stark
penegal
newk
straitman
mhen + 1

Group 2
romney + 1
Princess Fiona
Shrek
GPH
ALH
QF WP + 1
Pushka + 1
gwilli1
Buzzard + 1

Peter Lehmann will just treat us as one big group so we are all in together.

I hope you are all happy with your grouping, please let me know (PM?) if you have a need to swithch groups and I shall see what can be arranged.

I look forward to having dinner with those attending Saturday night, the rest I shall see you Sunday morning.
Please do not be late as we have a tight schedule.

Mrs QF WP won't be doing the Penfolds Grange tasting Buzzard - she has no interest in Grange.

I thought I'd advised that earlier...don't have anything with me now - all at my office

I think Buzzard is aware QF WP the groups are mixed between Grange tasters and those who won't I think

The groups have been organised so that there are 8 Grangers tasters in each group and in a way so as not to split up partners.

Now I understand, sorry I was a little daft Buzzard...I failed to read the last point in your sentence about 8 tasters per group (which are 12 and 13 in number respectively).

When do you want us to pay you for the Penfolds tasting - as I note you have paid for us all:

I have called Penfolds to finalise our arrangements and pay for 16 pax to taste the Grange.

I think we paid for the Penfolds when we booked? Posting from Athens now. :p

You are indeed correct Pushka - dragged out the TryBooking print out. 1 premium ticket and 1 standard which shows the difference in ticket price.

Buzzard has finally spent our money :D ;)
