I was thinking we were going to leave BNE earlier than Fri 7.15pm, but Mrs QF WP had put paid to my plans. $120 uplift in fare plus booking fee (per person) was just to steep for her (even with my change being tax deductible) - she did comment that we could spend it on wine instead.

Beaten at my own game :o

See everyone on Saturday.

No upgrade fairy yet in my Hilton booking...but too early.

I thought you were there earlier than Friday?

Or is that the change that is now too expensive?

A slight change to our plans.

Kim from Penfolds just rang and asked if we would like a 1 hour single group tasting :p

A room is being organised for us to be together instead of being split into 2 small groups.
This will allow for a more relaxed tasting and a better overall experience IMHO so I gave her the thumbs up.
We will still have ~ half an hour afterwards to stroll around the winery or go into the public tasting area.

I did ask Kim if she was able to offer us a 2010 St Henri tasting but unfortunately Penfolds have nil stock.
On a bright note she will try and open up a 2009 ST H. for us  And 25 of us will certainly demolish a bottle (25x30ml=750)

For those attending Saturday night I look forward to our pre tour dinner and drinks.
For those who I shall meet on Sunday for the first time just look for the guy with the ID Card - Official Tour Guide.

Nothing like a change :o - but I agree, in this case, for the better. I'm sure that we'll spend enough to make it worthwhile

Buzzard, I look forward to meet you (and a couple of others) for the first time on Sat night.

I guess I should post that I have been in Rads for two days now... nothing like being early :p

Although I think we can take bets on who will be late on the day...

Where are you staying? Should I organise my personal "wake up rap on the door" now???:rolleyes::shock:

Yes..... I remember last time

And QF WP if you can't remember me on Sunday I shall be the guy with the Official Tourist Guide ID Card around his neck.

Definitely looking forward to escaping this weekend . Its been one of those weeks . Im sure the company and some nectar of the grape will fix all that. :p

Heading to Two Hands at Maranaga today. Does anyone need any wine? Will also stop in at Maggie Beer's to grab some of Saskia's Berkshire Pork Rillets. I like shopping in South Australia
