Thanks. Something to look forward to.

Interesting process, I’ve found that every other bank looks at your application history prior to the conditional approval, and once conditionally approved they just want to verify income (the only request it made was for 2 payslips).

Got a voicemail while flying this morning from Bendigo. Called back, and they couldn’t find any record or reason for the call....

They did say they’d been “inundated” by applications and to expect some “long delays” in processing.

I'm much luckier than you. I entered my home loan, then my credit cards, then the web site stopped me from going any further, saying I failed servicability.

All that I have is a Citi free for life $15000 limit and a Bankwest $6000 limit. They must be tight. or the royal commission?
I think you'll either need to find a way to dramatically reduce your monthly mortgage repayments or need to be willing to get rid of the Citi card if you want to continue to churn.

It's been over one week from the first statement and still no spend points. I've called three times and each time they say they've personally attached my QF number (despite it being entered as part of the application), claim the points will arrive within 48 hours and send me on my way. I've just finished an arm wrestle with NAB over their 120k offer. Bendigo Bank is making me miss them.

Nah, I churn thru 4 cards last year. Anyway, I was approved for the Qantas Money MasterCard last week, and just received the card in the mail today. Bendigo missed out!

After over 3 weeks, partner received an email today stating their application was “unsuccessful”. This was despite receiving a conditional approval previously (and all required documents being submitted). It doesn’t appear that a credit check was done.

Can’t be bothered fighting with them.

Maybe this ones not worth the hassle. Was going to chuck in an application before the month end - just trying to close a couple of others first. Need to work out which banks don’t have a 12 month exclusion period on bonuses...

FTR Bendigo also have a 12mth exclusion period between holding of cards for cultivation of sign on bonus pts.

I wouldn't waste your time. They seem to be pretty hopeless. Mine has been sitting at "provisionally approved" for a while now and is going nowhere in a hurry.

Agreed. Run away. Far, far away.

My application was provisionally approved 18 days ago.

Tonight I got a call around 1815AEST wanting me to confirm my identity details so my application can be verified.

I had no way of confirming it was a legitimate call and told her so. She seemed rather indignant that I wasn’t just going to give out identity details to someone I don’t know.

I then called BB.

After a significant period on hold I’m told the credit card team only work business hours. Yet they called me 2:15 after closing time. I was getting really suspicious.

I still can’t rule out the call as a scam, but the odds of a scammer knowing I’ve recently applied for a BB credit card are pretty low.

Or BB has been hacked.

Whatever the case I’m approaching the three week mark without an answer and am growing deeply cynical about the professionalism of BB.

That’s largely my experience. Including one case where I got a voicemail from them asking for a callback, and when I called back, there was no record of them ever ringing me and the woman had no idea why they would.

She said she’d investigate and call back, but it never happened.

Very amateur operation.

Colleague with moderate 6-figure income applied yesterday for a $6k limit:
"Thank you for your application.
Unfortunately we are unable to assist you on this occasion.
Our initial review of the information you have provided us indicates you cannot afford the limit requested."

My application has been languishing at provisional since 10/10/2018

I must have been really lucky getting approved this card after reading about all the issues lots seem to be having with it.
There is Bendigo branch that only justed opened down the road from me so think that might have helped.
I have only had the card for a month and they have given me some points for every week that they get earned.
Hopefully they are this efficient with depositing the bonus points.

I followed up today and it turns out last night’s call was legit.

Why a bank would call a customer and ask them to disclose personal details makes no sense.

I should be doing an ID check on them, not the other way around.

Anyway, I’ve now been approved.

From here it’s a case of: spend, claim and exit as quickly as possible.

But somehow I fear there’ll be further pain.:(

I was approved 2.5 weeks after I submitted my application. They never even called, which was very surprising given the 10 other cards I've had this year.

Application is still pending for my partner

3 months ago, I got a conditionally approved and then a rejection email,

called up to enquire as to why, they told me they tried to push it trhoguh but the number of recent applications didnt help, which I had about 3 in 2 months

3 months later, the enquiry has not shown up on my credit report

maybe I got a freebie enquiry

Mines still sitting at the conditionally approved stage (about a month now). There’s been no credit inquiry that I can see.

At last (been at provisional since 10/10):
"Congratulations! Your Bendigo Bank Qantas Platinum Mastercard® credit card application has been successful. You're about to receive a credit card that will help you earn Qantas Points and, thanks to you, we'll be able to do something good for the community too."

Good work. I just sent them a dirty facebook message asking WTF. Mine has been pending since 12/10
