Best F Seats - QF A380

You're right that F pax shouldn't have to put up with this but until it changes I have experienced priority ordering so at least there is mitigation. On a secondary point F pax shouldn't have to endure a tarted up J menu but now I'm veering dangerously off topic.
to briefly continue your off topic meander - this is why I won’t fly Qantas F anymore. If I am going to pay that money, I want to get what I pay for, not J+.

Well, my P1 upgrade has come through, and I’ve been pre-allocated 4A. That probably says something! Will let it stick for now and see what happens.

OK :). I just like being near the front but don’t like 1A.
Funnily enough I find crew movement more disruptive than passengers, bathrooms or cupboards. So 1A or 2A definitely my preference.

Thanks. Useful info. I guess upgrade are common (me included) although the outward journey is a day flight and a couple of weeks ago I was the only upgrade request. Travelling solo so prefer the privacy of a solo seat, otherwise I’d be happy in J. Plus have more points than I can use.

I think our cabin was filled with staff, at least 3 or 4, deadheading or something.

4A is great unless babies are allocated to 5A which happened on my QF12 flight. Luckily the Mum swapped with the guy in 5K and all was well.

As Y is right behind row 5 it could be argued front is best however I had no disruption from Y whatsoever.

Can I ask what F menu items you are worried about missing out on?

Can’t recall which thread, but think there was a report of some people missing out on a special F dish - perhaps a seafood one.

Presumably they wouldn’t get priority for meals.
Mind you, I’ve seen staff in Dom J given sparkling wine at breakfast while no-one else was offered it.

The priority for meals not an issue, but it slowed service even further. Just under three hours for entree and main to come out.

Three hours!? That is ridiculous. Has to be some deliberate tactic.

And the flight was perfectly smooth... no interruptions for turbulence or anything. Dessert was on top of that. Maybe because it was a short sector to SIN and everyone ate at the same time? I dunno, but it was too slow.

There’s no second service Oz-SIN is there? I wonder if the go-slow is a part of this?

Don’t know for sure. I guess you could have ordered the steak sarnie or something if you wanted a snack? Request for an expedited meal service were refused, and each course was delivered with a ‘sorry for the delay’.

It was at that point where all of a sudden in between courses you think ‘hey, where is my food’ and then you start to get restless. Well it was like that for the whole meal service.

Super important question...
Im in First on QF127 in December.. its a day flight, will I get PJ's ??? :)
