I also enjoy most airline meals however and in my opinion (yes I was hungry) the beef pie in Business Sydney to Brisbane on Tuesday was excellent.........

Which airline was that and Y or J? “Beef pie” sounds very Qantas but I am making an assumption here...

Just realised I left the Qantas bit out and yes J for dinner. The alternatives were zucchini and parmesan soup or a cheese plate. They also had a really good chocolate bar.

Then I know the one, yes it’s quite nice! The soup, even though it doesn’t sound like it, is actually also rather tasty. Had a zucchini soup on EK a while back which tasted like water and the QF version is so much better!

In J on TK. BKK-IST/IST-GRU on that awesome mistake fare some years ago...:) The crews (which I had heard could be really variable) were VERY good...and so was the food. The trolley service was a first for me too..... OK.. perhaps not the "best meal"..but certainly the most memorable... Personalised menus were a nice touch.... and I loved the last choice listed under beverages.... "Fizzy Drink".... I think for most Aussies that would cause a giggle....

I think best meals are the ones that are unexpected.
I expect decent food in J or F flying internationally but when you get a really good in Euro business, that's what stands out.
This doesn't look great, but that salmon was amazing.
And that apple crumble was yum.
