Biggest Travel Regret?

Alright... alright... let's not lose our heads with all these lame jokes, ok?

Oh... :-|

My current travel regret is not being able to utilise my double SC offers (from both QF and DJ) - yet.

Biggest regret? All those lost ANSETT points. I had a big J class trip booked for the entire family, plus the resort. All paid for on points. ANSETT collapsed 2 days before departure.

Highlights? Iceland and the Northern Lights last year, San Fancisco "The Saloon" best blues music every night I've been there, eating in French countryside, no english spoken, but superb regional cuisine.

Yes, just thought of a regret - going on the Space Mountain ride at Disneyland many years ago.

I have 2 non-regrets and 1 regret both relating to Space Mountain. Just a few days ago (Friday the 13th of July actually!) at Paris Disneyland I enjoyed space mountain so much the first two time (The 2 non-regrets) that I went on it for a third time (the regret!); got on and on the first launch slope our train was launched to max speed (71km/hr) and upon reaching max speed the emergency brakes activated trapping us facing the sky for over half an hour until a rescue crew arrived to get us out and check for injuries. Luckily we were all ok!

My biggest travel regret is not going to the 2012 London Olympics. It was a fantastic Olympics.

sorry, it will be a fantastic Olympics.

My biggest non-regret right at the moment is NOT travelling to Melbourne on Friday 27 July 2012 to watch Essendon play Hawthorn!!

And here in Australia it starts tomorrow morning. Who won the first gold medal and can you tell me next Thursday's PowerBall numbers, at $50 million it is worth entering.

There have already been some soccer matches on, so while the opening ceremony isn't till tonight (tomorrow morning for you), the events have already begun. Maybe you heard about the North Korea one where they botched it up and displayed the South Korea flag.

I hadn't heard about it until my dear mum phoned me tonight as she lives in Scotland it was big news.

OT my biggest travel regret is that I never flew Concorde. Never mind that I was too young with no visible means of financial support, I remember watching LiveAid on TV and being mesmerized that Phil Collins was travelling on Concorde to appear in the US.
If Concorde ever flew again I would jump at the chance to be on it

I have sat on a Concorde, on the USS Intrepid Mueseum in NYC. Cost $20 extra above the standard tour but is worth it.
Girl actually said the Phil Collins story but I thought she said 3 concerts/Continents in 24 hours via Concorde?
I saw a Concorde land once, wont forget that noise again There were about 10000 people lining the airport fence.
It was the one that eventually crashed in Paris actually.

Also recommend the Udvar Hazy Centre and Smithsonian Air and Space museum in Washington.
Allow a full day at each one. Also nearly 2 hours travel by public bus to Udvar Hazy.

On the other side of the pond is the Imperial War Museum and RAF Hendon in London, mostly older WW2 planes but.

Not making the most of family holidays and sight seeing.

I didn't really cherish the time, effort and money my parents spent on them.

My mother did leave some parting words before she passed away, "live life without regrets"

Sent from my GT-I9300T using AustFreqFly

One of so many regrets... Not having a flight on the Concorde!

I guess was a bit before my time, so somewhat excusable..

I envisage that it must have been such a euphoric experience...
