... and then proceeded to post it to his Twitter devotees.... That said, I'm mystified how the hip hopper found out the lady FA's surname so expeditiously.
Edit: And they are going berserk.

...Sometimes using the QF headphones for IFE makes it very hard to hear announcements and taking them off works better. ..
It does seem a bit odd that Qantas is the thing in common with both of these events. Does this sort of thing happen on other airlines?
Do you think he was being 'escorted' because QFd or the airport wanted to avoid a media circus, or was he being 'arrested' because of his alleged unacceptable behaviour? Mind you, if his behaviour had been 'bad', QFd would have banned him from boarding another flight.
2. Staff (including you) have our full details (including in some cases access to 'sensitive' items such as dates of birth, occupations and email addresses), so why shouldn't we be at least have your first name and surname? If staff are going to behave in a completely unacceptable manner to harmless passengers on any conveyance, why shouldn't they be as accountable as badly behaving passengers are?
What’s an odd coincidence is that apparently the same FA WAS ON THE V and the W flight....
...
I don't want to have your surname, we have to have your full name. And QF crew don't have access to your e-mail, phone, address or DOB (although we are alerted to your birthday if it happens during the flight, but not year) - none of that is on the iPad.
...The FA involved social pages are absolutely inundated with hate messages. Celebrities are able to brush this off a lot easier than any regular person. In fact, he already has had to tweet not to send hate messages because his fan base has gone wild...

Most likely it was the B787 flight. Unless 2 different Afro-Americans (with entourage in tow) were each escorted by police from two different BNE-SYD flights on that Saturday morning. As for him live-twittering from that flight, I doubt it. Most likely done after landing and would be targeted at his followers.Unrelated event. He was live tweeting from the flight. He must have been on a 737 or 330 ...
The Veronicas have chimed in with some lies ...
Most likely it was the B787 flight.
I am no expert on all of that. So an FA cannot do both. Is that right? The crew member in question is a domestic flight attendant. They are not trained on the 787.

Edit: Can an FA go from domestic to international (B787) at some point in their career?
I would not necessarily accept anything that the Vs have to say, including identification of FAs.
What a relief.... the flight attendant involved is currently working as a domestic flight attendant and the incident was not on your flight.
Agree. Why should they? There have been cases where staff have been stalked by passengers that i'm aware of
None of which I agree with as legitimate reasons for potentially putting a staff member in danger. Also, if a staff member does misuse a customer's personal information there are serious consequences for them including termination of employment and penalties for breaching the Privacy Act.For at least five reasons:
...It could be argued that the person complaining has doxxed the FA and opened her up to serious danger. Not acceptable in way.
..
4. .......... anyone who really wants to can - eventually - find this out any way, although perhaps not as quickly as the hip hopper did.
.......
I would like to think so.With all the abuse that the FA has seemingly suffered, and the wide distribution caused by will.i.am's profile, wonder if they may have a case for defamation.
....... given independent witnesses have basically confirmed what the hip hopper alleged, and no one has publicly come out to defend the flight attendant except the company QF PR staff, it's not a good look for QF....
