Maybe AJ can show some leadership and publicly defend his staff. It is simply unacceptable to play the race card when race is not a factor.

I agree. Qantas management just WaP in not coming out strongly in support, given what the cabin crew are going through. AJ? Why yes, given his record on 'speaking out' on issues he thinks are important.

Why Qantas hasn't banned the jerk is beyond me. Afraid of bad publicity?

If they are 'crew forums', i doubt you'd be able to access.

If QF doesn’t issue a statement of support (and soon) for the cabin crew, they need their heads read.

As well as support and a request to will.i.am to cease and desist, Qantas is willing to help the FA sue for defamation

I'd think The Veronicas would be an even easier target as one suspects their statement is demonstrably false.

They've also reported deleted their Twitter account

I'd be happy to kick in a few $$s to help the case against will.I.wish.I.was also - maybe crowd funding huh?
… and those two Vs may have a lot to answer for as well.

Edit: They are definitely not off the hook if publicly lying about, and smearing the reputation of the FA.

Wouldn't an ethical barrister advise that there'd only be a limited chance of success, bearing in mind that at least two passengers 'tweeted' in support of the hip-hop gent long before anyone came out in support of the female CSM?

Irrespective as to what one thinks of Maurice Blackburn as a law firm, of the two legal eagles quoted, its representative gives by far the preferable - and realistic - quote.

An ethical barrister with at least two firing neurons would probably take a more nuanced approach than you.

Well, I’m just happy that the truth is starting to come out and that QF will actively support affected staff.

I hope that this will alleviate the concerns of some as to where the truth lies. If it gets to court then the facts will speak for themselves.

As I have said before i do follow twitter-not normally this type of garbage but I have a look when it comes up on AFF.
The 2 I saw supporting Will.i.am said different things. One suggested the incident took place just after boarding and said that take off was delayed by 40 minutes. But Will.I am says that it took place about 20 minutes into the flight. So I discount this "eye witness".

The second witness was sitting back in economy and said she heard the raised voice of the FA.So not an eye witness. So the FB witness who was in the second row of Y seems to me to me a more reliable account.

Both QF and the FA's Union have come out in support of the FA.

And as I said before Will.i.am has form in his antics in planes and on the ground. He once blasted UA as he wasn't allowed into one of their international Lounges when travelling domestically.Just an entitled-fill in whatever you want here.

If engaged, they would be advising their client, not making public announcements.
