Your $1m spend is not significant in the big picture. CL is given to influencers, not flyers per se. Plats are the flyers. Senior execs get their army to fly and rarely hit the skies with the same frequency.
I can tell you right now (as a CL) that stomping in and demanding CL is the best way to not get it! If you want CL the best thing to do is drop hints to your QF business agent. Also, on another note. QF is looking to introduce FLounge style dinning at the CL lounge in Sydney. I will try to get a picture next time I am in there
Sadly, I lack any spare CL bag tags at the moment The staff in the CL are notoriously fussy about photos. At the moment, the CL lounge's best feature is the amazing food. They currently, have a buffet plus made to order sandwiches etc. I cant wait for the Yellow Fin tuna to show up in SYD T3!!!
More to the point, why do people attach their tags to carry on? Just makes you look like a wanker. Understandable if you sometimes check in your carry on but I've seen some on laptop cases and handbags...
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

I have my AFF tag attached to my carry on (gives people here a chance to spot me), does having an AFF tag make me a wanker?
I attach a tag (old style) to my laptop bag when I'm at conferences for identification. There's a lot of bags floating around, and they're often left unattended. My tag has all my details on it, and I don't have any other non-airline tags so it's convenient to do so.
Maybe my gripe really is with the ones who, for example, attach their WP tag to their camera bag (yes I saw this once, bright red/orange bag!) where the whole point is simply to say "I'm Platinum, and you're not!" rather than for identification or check in purposes.
The problem is that the WP Tag now looks like a PS one so it is very hard to make that "I'm Platinum and you're not" statement. For the genuine DYKWIA it is all very disappointing. It is a good job I edit the boarding pass I print at home to make the Platinum bit red and in a bigger font.

No, because it's fulfilling its purpose (finding other AFF'ers). If you check in your carry on every so often then that would also be fine IMO.
I suppose it's more when flying I see DYKWIA. Outside of flying people are probably unlikely to know much about FF and wouldn't give two thoughts about seeing a tag. I'm probably over thinking this so I wouldn't worry!

Luckily I’m the least likely person to be accused of being a DYKWIA even with the amount of tags on my bag. I just lick collecting things. Someone likened me to a bird collecting things
Oooh. I didn't know this. I'll have to keep my eye out for them. They’ve updated it since the rollout. It’s now a lot darker, other than the white logo being distinguishable before.
But then you still have a greater risk of losing than keeping them them until you may have the need.I attach mine to my backpack because I know if I attached them to my check-in bags I’d never see them again. Not much use losing them. ...
The family pool has two SG and two WP. They are still in the original packaging as are unlikely to ever be used by us.
I don't feel the urge to do the DYKWIA thing and put them on carry-on as IKWIA and that's all that is important.
But you should be careful Sam.
If you keep going this way it won't be long before you'll exceed the 7kg carry on limit with bag tags only
