BMI Diamond Club - What to do with left over miles?

Can you sign up for an IB Plus membership with an AU address? If so, just pull all the BMI miles over to IB (via Avios if need be). They're freely moveable between BA / Avios.com / IB Plus.

A couple of caveats.

Yes they are freely movable from BA to Iberia Plus BUT:

* You cannot transfer points till 90 days after the IberiaPlus account is made active, and it is only made active by some point earning activity
* You cannot make it active by buying points

Note:

* You have to use (ie transfer to IberiaPlus) by 1 Jan 2014, and so that gives you till about to the end of this month to get some "activating" points into IberiaPlus in order to allow 90 days to transfer points from BA.
* Ways of earning points often have a lag (ie transfer from a Hotel Program, staying at hotel, car-hire etc) so transfer window is 90 days +

So if you want to move any BMI points to IberiaPlus you had best get a wriggle on.
