As an ex BN (BNE to some) ATC who retired young (53) before they built the parallel runway at Brisbane, I'd like to go, but I have seen enough sunrises and sunsets (beautiful from a tower), so I won't stand in the way of an AFF who really wants to go.

Yes it is, but as we aren't out of lockdown with the southern states (as there are plenty of interested people from NSW & VIC already) and I only sat my exam 2 weeks ago, nothing has been able to be organised yet

I got an email from BNE airport and checked out their site and found this: Education and Tours - Brisbane Airport

Who would be interested in going on the tour (once lockdown finish, travel is back on and we are all COVID double jabbed)? All that we need to supply is the bus, so dependent on the numbers interested, will depend on the size and cost of the bus?

I'd try and link it into a tour of ATC, given I know some of the current staff...but that is less likely to come off I'd think. But worth the attempt to see if its possible.

Be very careful with this COVID thing. The family got it 3 weeks ago and thank goodness they had RAT's otherwise they wouldn't have known they had it. Dangerous stuff!

Seriously, looking forward to the BNE airport tour. Can't wait.
