No only there for a day and heading back to CBR tonight before heading to SYD Fri.

Depending who you ask I might be in Sydney on Friday night for a few drinks, and then Melbourne on Saturday, but I haven't booked yet...

You were still in Hilton lounge at ~6:30pm?

I was walking from Toowong and was told everyone had left Hilton by 5:45pm so I stopped at pub near Roma St instead. Much better losing $500+ on pokies.

JessicaTam, the Bordeaux Red made it home safely, many thanks for bringing it - I had completely forgotten.

The storm hit as I was dining at the Everton Park Hotel. Great light show and a ton of solid rain. Just as we were readying to leave at 8.30pm, my daughter had her first serious accident - going down a slide in the play area and tooth into her bottom lip. Blood spilled but crisis averted with quickly placed ice. It was bound to happen and thankful it wasn't worse.

And good to have a new AFFer in AbFF in attendance I think he enjoyed the evening, always good to talk to like minded people, where you can quote flight numbers with others and shared experiences.

The seating wasn't the best, I dislike round tables on the end of benches but adequate for what we had, thought the food was ok; not cheap by world standards and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Thanks to anat0l for collecting the cash and adding up the balance on the bill.

I knew the plan was for everyone to leave the Hilton around 5:30. Was caught up & arrived at Hilton at 6:20pm, expecting to see no-one, & spotted Serfty in the checkin line. We met in the lounge for a few minutes at around 6:45, so we could walk together - it was either the lounge or the foyer, & given the checkin line I had, it was just as well we made it the lounge - then headed out soon after as everyone was starting to order at the Horse & Cart.
