I'm slowly starting to come good, Mrs LW was concerned that I should have gone home from work and had a sleep - no, that can come later. But I'm on Sprite tonight, so I'll be a cheap shout ;)

bossreggie should be arriving about now. 5pm in the Lobby area near the Reception desk (Level 6). Level 5 is the Ballrooms. We'll get the lifts down to Elizabeth Street and pick up anyone down there.

No fashion statement straitman. Just thought I'd stand out from the crowd and be easier to spot for those that are meeting other AFF'ers for the first time (particularly if I wore white or blue - well, so does half of Brisbane's businessfolk). Looks like at least 6 of us meeting @ Hilton.

Packing up the laptop and leaving work - decided to drive into the Hilton car park and pay $15 (and get 22 FFP's :D)

The party has started. Someone hurry up and get here so I'm not sitting here by myself :p

I will be down on level 6 in about 15 mins and so will dfcatch.

Damn - I look like cough and am in my cycling clothes (no lycra thankfully for all) and now you guys are sprucing up? I will be there in about 30 mins with a pink face and humidity hair.
Also I booked a table for 10-12ish from 6.30pm-7pm as they were having functions there according to a friend. See you there before we go up anyway - but under Tae if I get his by a bus and don't make it (which would suck).

Thanks for a super fun night tonight all. Always wonderful to see the regulars who, over the year, I have come to know as friends... and also great to see those I have only met once or twice and adore spending time with, and even better to meet new faces that will grow into friends.
Have a safe holiday season all.

Now back at home. Thanks Lindsay Wilson for providing the chariot. Probably going to get a yelling from the folks (or one of them) tomorrow for this, but oh well...

Thanks to everyone who came. I think we might've been a bit tough on the new girl at Irish Murphys - probably didn't help when trying to reconcile meals delivered with phantom consumers (i.e. those who weren't at the table to receive it)...

I'm sure Bundy Bear will amply supply this thread with a roll call and incriminating photographs. ;)

Have a safe and happy Christmas to all - it was great to see you again.

Thanks all. And especially great to meet those whom I hadn't met before.

Sorry I can't make the MEL do on Friday - but I will need both a new credit card and a new job if I were to show up :)

A really good night was had by all.

Irish Murphy's is not a place I'm in a hurry to rush back to but adequate for the evening. Their Kilkenny Beer tastes like cXXp.

Still a bunch sitting in the Hilton lobby gibbering on a bit :!:

No gibbering that I could hear.
Convivial post dinner conversation at the Hilton. Thanks all. Have to do it again sometime...
Hope the early travelers tomorrow - ok, today - get off to a good start.

Thanks everyone, I enjoyed your company this evening.
See a few of you on Friday in Mel. The rest, well, be sure we'll tell you exactly how good it was. ;)

My intention last night was to have a few drinks and go home for a late dinner, however by the time we left the Hilton all my brownie points had evapourated.

My apologies to those waiting at Irish Murphy's. I would like to have said gidday and meet & greet others.

I certainly enjoyed the drinks and the company at the Hilton.

A happy and safe Christmas to all.

Was a good night!!

Got back to my suite and was a note from the GM apologising for my initial room!!

Also the 6 guests I got into the executive lounge appeared on my bill but the amount was credited!!

Winning!!

Nice to meet some new members and I'm looking forwar to Friday.

I'm already at the airport!!
