"Bonus Confirmed Complimentary Upgrade"?

I have wanted to upgrade from MEL to coughet for a few months but everytime I ring there is no availability (booked on a flexi fare)...they say there's nothing available on either leg (but to keep checking closer to the time)
Only domestic flights and Trans Tasman.

Failing that, not sure what I'll use it on...I think it's a huge waste for short trips and have no work trips apart from 1 hour flight destinations planned
I tend to agree with you although I did use mine on 3 OOL-SYD flights during peak travel times where the sale airfare/red ed-deal BNE-SYD was more than the flexible airfare I paid. I also used one on a CNS-TSV-BNE flight which cost $200.

Was advised by CS that DPS and HKT don't usually release availability for upgrade redemption fares. That being said, J was 7/8 and full J fares are $1k+ so quite impressed there...

Pretty sure TT have upgrades though (but who would want to PE!)
All the TT DJ flights i've taken recently are with the re-configured cabins with J seating. They were not available for sale though on the website, so it's possible they're waiting for a full re-fit before opening them to sale.

I did two TT last month, once each away and both flights had the PE seats. ZK- registrations.

I got a nice shiny pack in the post today advising me of a free complimentary J upgrade from any flexi fare.

Here's the deal though. Many moons ago I was Status matched to Gold from QF WP (before Virgin's Platinum existed) I have not flown Virgin once in the time of the status matching (yeah I know - don't shoot me!)

But I recently booked (yet to fly it) SQ J MEL/SIN/MEL and used by Virgin FF number in that booking, would that be the trigger for it? or was it just, everyone gets one and now its your turn?

Rather interestingly it is going to play out well in VA's favour, I have a heavy travel schedule in October/November and am yet to book any flights, I'm thinking of using it on a MEL/PER or vv. leg so very good timing.

Thank you very Much Virgin, here's your chance to snag me.
