Bonza Airline Discussion

Also Bellarine Peninsula adds a whole lot more. Just like Mornington counts as part of Melbourne.

Depends what you count.
Actually with the exception of the Borough of Queenscliffe and its 3000 residents , Greater Geelong already covers the Bellarine Peninsula.

Safe to say it won't be occurring this year I think. Many Government agencies go into lite mode as such from mid Dec to mid Jan, so only 4/5 weeks until that happens. They did some training flights last month for a week but nothing since.

Don't forget no guarantee they will pass the proving flight also on the first attempt. Many have taken 2 attempts. That creates further delays.

I reckon Easter ish is a likely bet.

I'd actually rather fly to PPP when my final destination is MKY if I can avoid BNE.
Makes sense. 1h20 to 1h30 PPP to Mackay and no jams. I'd noted this option too.

WTB-MEL, which Airnorth has bailed out of, would be handy for us too. We priced QF via SYD at the beginning of Dec and they had only flex fares at ~$750 on the date we were looking at. More competition out of WTB would be nice.

I just like the idea of order from the seat. No carts also and the F&B will be serviced from the galley.

The menu seems quite fun, opportunity to try a new local beer or 2 and good to see options of vegan sandwiches. I wonder the prices 🤔
I’m in. Drinking the beer which strongly reminds me of Leisure Suit Larry has a perverse appeal. All we need now is a MCY lounge called Lefty’s Bar.

Cheers skip

Yeah I’m surprised they haven’t pushed more onto WTB or “Brisbane West”……

So what about all the new Bonza staff?

They don't know when they are to start work, I imagine that's 00's possibly 000's??

yeah your hired, welcome to our new Bonza team, we just have no idea when you'll start employment, was August, then by December holiday period, now sometime into 2023.

Do they get paid in the meantime? Imagine resigning another job and taking one then going on unpaid forced leave. The risk one takes I guess.
