Its $3.50 at Bunnings.$5 for a snag in white bread with a shake of sauce and some onions on top?
So $5 is not much more - just add a celebrity chef's name like Scottie Cam to the sausage sizzle and Bonza!

Would be better than Jet* offering?Might be a sausage sizzle (a la Bunnings) beside the boarding line. Although at airport prices does anyone want to pay $5 for a snag in white bread with a shake of sauce and some onions on top?
Or pie and peas? You little ripper!
If only there was a snag to go with it.
I reckon a schnitty would be too classypie and peas
If they’re still legends in 2026, that might well be the case.Cairns to Avalon and Western Sydney could be another way to do things.
A Cairns base would make sense also.

The app will also be the only way to order food on-board, with no trolleys and cabin crew assigned seat rows to look after during each flight.
Didn't work very well with AirNZ and their original Seats2suit implementation.I actually like this bit. I liked that function when Virgin America was around, when we flew those long trans con flights, the ability to order whatever you want, when you want, by using the screen in front of you. So I assume Bonza will have Wifi onboard then?
Self ordering definitely isn’t a crew favourite. You could tell the VX crew got annoyed everyone someone ordered a cup of water or Diet Coke etc. Sometimes you needed to wait a bit also as they were on a break or couldn’t be bothered.Didn't work very well with AirNZ and their original Seats2suit implementation.
Such was supposed to be available after take off until preparations for landing. Crew found it an inconvenience so generally kept it turned off.the entire flight.
I don't want to be one of 'those' guys but VA did try 737s out of Port Mac about 7 or 8 years ago shortly after the runway was upgraded to accept the heavier weight. It didn't go so well as they couldn't get bums on seats even at $99 to Melbourne. We get over a million visitors each year - in what feels like about 1.1 million SUVs, 4x4s and RVs - not your typical air travellers because they have too many toys. This is what interests me as well. I think they're stretching it to imagine that routes like Mildura/Coffs/Albury/Port Mac to MCY will fill a 737 twice a week.

As a passenger, that'd be a gamble thanks to the quality of traffic flow on the Bruce Highway.Keeping in mind Bonza will also be targeting customers living in the surrounding Gympie, Cooloola Coast and North Brisbane (Caboolture, Burpengary, North Lakes, etc) areas as an 'alternative' to BNE.
