Thanks to all and who came and enjoyed the festivities in AKL.

I think the lunch was a hit and I'm sure we could all agree that the staff at Euro were especially great.

Sorry I was not up to my best, however I enjoyed myself.

From a tongue in cheek comment in December, to having 40 attendees, I think was quite remarkable.

I wish everyone a safe journey home and once again thank you for being understanding about my being a little flat.

I have just returned from the Dr's.... Thank you KPC and Storyteller for your wise advice. Thank you Storyteller and Mr Osborne for INSISTING that I actually went, and persevering with me!

I have been advised by the Dr to either remain in AKL or return to MEL until my leg is better.

I'm all alone at my hotel so if anyone wants to catch up let me know.

Finally...... To those who missed out......

2013, it will be Noma in Copenhagen. Another lunch to remember!!

.... and a few of us have 'told' bossreggie that he is to accept help in herding the cats next time :!:

We are having a quiet time watching the harbour traffic go bye. (Visitors are welcome)

Lovely to meet you storyteller

Likewise! And the elusive APH too.

Thanks everyone for your company the past couple of days, great as always to catch up with people I have met before & to meet some new ( to me ) AFF folk.

Now we poor lonely few here in AKL for another day or so will just have to content ourselves with having more of this fine NZ dining & find ways of describing it so you know just how much we are suffering :D

Thanks to Boss Reggie in organizing the lunch, a great afternoon of dining was had. I really enjoyed the wines that were offered with the different courses. I hope everyone enjoyed my on the spot commentary even if it made a few people jealous.

I am currently at Auckland international airport waiting for my Emirates flight home. I have status with a whole bunch of airlines, just not Emirates, where is Eight Black when you need him.

Thanks for coming up with the idea & bringing it to fruition. Not sure we could have kept up with you if you were normal!!

My behind the scenes peek in the kitchen was great too, & will be heading home with a couple of extra kilos and Simon's cookbook which Eugene, our waitresses & all of the 1st Annual BR AKL lunch participants autographed for me. At NZ$85 if I can make the French Onion soup even half as good as we had at Jervois I'll be happy. And the risotto will be practiced, regularly, till I get it right too.

Hope to see a few of you at the Hilton at 6:30 tonight.

Thanks Boss for organising the event, and coping with the cat herding. :) We had a great time, even though it wasn't quite slipping away for the weekend, just Mr Katie and me.
Can't wait for Copenhagen. :)

Rows 11 & 12 were the exit on the way over so I think no luck there kpc.

So sad to have missed this one, however I don't think SWMBO would have liked it much if I went running off OS and leaving her with a week old baby...
Next time, I'll be there with bells on...

Thanks to Bossreggie for the event and for dealing with all of the organisational issues around the weekend

Id like to thank all the AFFer's who made Mrs C feel welcome and who made her realise that she isnt the only +1 who thinks the idea weird ! (but now knows where the lounge access and nice seats come from!)

She hasn't knocked the Noma idea on the head yet but we'll see how we go!
junior delinquent will have his licence so we may be going for more than lunch!

i hope the Noma serves are small, "minimum of 20 servings!"

Now all i need to do is find a conference that will cover medical/travel/law/IT and whatever other occupations i found out about!

Now currently in the T2 QP disappointed at the fact that the bubbles is fleur de lys!
I hope i haven't given her too high a bubbles expectation!

Well we (+1 and I) , are looking now at options for April next year.
So all things being equal we are definite possibles for the noma lunch

yup....row 13 is the row behind exit rows. At least got an aisle not at the back; given a newspaper, express arrival, and better earphones....so much better DJ plat recognition than flight over. Back home in Syd, exhausted but great w/e......
