girl in the Hilton car park - for the clever use of her "assets" in procuring cash to pay for her parking ticket :eek:note: I didn't give her any cash ...

I gave her the cash while awilcockson admired her "assets".

I dunno if you could call it "the cash"... :p

Back at home in Sydney via QF114. Others travelling on QF114 at SYD now waiting to travel on: Heleigh to BNE and Pumbaa and +1 to PER. Enjoyable time in AKL Flounge this morning but no risotto on offer!

Ditto to all the thankyous above and especially to the Boss for being the catalyst and enabler, even as late as last night getting a table for 12 available in a booked out restaurant. A convivial weekend with lots of travel talk.

Now off to study US Airways miles as a way to get to the Bossreggie Copenhagen lunch!

Currently sitting in the J lounge with my +1 waiting for our flight back home. Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and the company. My first AFF event and will most definitely not be my last. I'm really sad to hear some members attended the dinner on Fri and lunch on Sat without paying. That is such poor form. Is it possible to name and shame?

When I get back to Perth I'll be uploading a whole heap of photos and write a brief trip report on the weekend. If any member would like a cd of the high resolution photos, please PM me and I'll be happy to post them :)

Thanks Boss for an amazing weekend, we didn't get to chat much, but I'm sure we'll cross paths in the future.

Thanks to the following for making me and my +1 welcome. In no particular order!

Heleigh
Steptoe
Fifa
Storyteller
GPH and APH
Reggie
KPC
Katie and the family
Straitman and Sue
Mr Osborne
FuzzyAus

Sorry if I missed anyone, or didn't get the chance to meet anyone and have a chat. Looking forward to the next event. Stay tuned for some photos :)

We have decided to skip lunch (totally) so will just head off from the Hilton to the Novotel at about 2pm for our 6am flight tomorrow. (In Hilton Rm 404 until then if anyone is still around.)

Bill, I believe no one was able to find the room </nerd joke>.

Look forward to all of your photo's.

I was sure I posted this last night, but obviously not.

Was a great weekend, my thanks (in some sort of chronological order) go to:

GPH & FuzzyAus - for splitting a couple of bottles of a fantastic Shiraz with me on Friday night
storyteller, bossreggie, simo and the 2 others who I can't remember (sorry) - for helping me consume the 2 bottles of 2006 Rockford "Basket Press" :)

This was me both times, I'm going to start wearing a name tag around you :)

Thanks Boss for organizing and making the weekend what it was :)

.......

Funny SMS conversation with a friend in SYD yesterday when I thought I might overnight there:

FRIEND: "What were you doing in NZ?"

ME: "Had a degustation lunch with friends."

FRIEND: "You went to NZ for a lunch?"

ME: "Yep"

FRIEND: "I don't really know what to say to that!"

Good luck trying to explain going to Copenhagen

I am still trying to arrange the first conference on "financial planning aspects of IT in emergency geriatric cardiology for aviation" (for the unemployed) I know someone will understand that joke!

That should cover 95% of attendees in Copenhagen for tax purposes
Is there still the requirement to be a suncorp visa debit card holder? :)
