Hi guys,

Bit of a silly question here but something I'm not 100% sure on.
I'm meeting some arrivals at SYD domestic airport. Was hoping to see them at the gate and then we'd head out to dinner.

Was hoping to take a nice bottle of wine to said dinner.
Will I be able to get a sealed bottle of wine through security?

I'm pretty sure it's a prohibited item for taking on-board but thought i'd double check.

No problems. I travel dometically with a bottle or two of wine in my hand luggage all the time. Have had comments from security x-ray that it looked a nice drop! :p

No problems domestically.I bring back a couple of bottles of Tassie pinot noir every time I come home-along with frozen curries!

You'll have no issue. There is no issue with liquids normally in Domestic flights, that's an international issue only.

Enjoy the wine!

thanks all.
interesting that a shaving razor is a serious threat but they're not concerned about anyone getting bottled....wish common sense could apply more often!

As long as your flight departs/arrives from a domestic terminal you will be fine.

There are a few domestic flights that depart/arrive from international terminals and the same rules apply as if you're travelling overseas ie all liquids over 100ml will be confiscated.

What flight numbers are you on & between which cities?

Through dom airports no problem, even on international flights it's not a problem provided you've brought the wine after security.

wish common sense could apply more often!

Who said airport security had anything to do with common sense?
