Simple example, Optus allows you to use Bpay via credit card to pay for the bill, but Vodafone doesn't. It all depends on each supplier, you only need to make sure your credit card earns points from Bpay transactions.
Wouldn't using BPay be processed as a cash advance by Citi - meaning you would be charged interest on the transaction even if you pay the card in full every month?
In short a no as they only way to BPAY from a CC is if the biller accepts bpay from credit cards. I have used Bpay for a number of payees and don't get charged fees.My understanding is banks would not treat BPAY payments as cash advance if the biller accepts bpay from credit cards.

It is definitely not handled this way because I have a business supplier who charges 1.5% for any credit card transactions but do allow BPay free of charge.
Fortunately, their BPay settings allow me to use BPay via Credit Card
Has anyone tried Bpaying Qantas from a Citi card?
Qantas does not accept Bpay from credit card.
I tried a small BPay from my Citibank card this month. No points awarded.
Has this changed for anyone else?
Signature, and a bill which may or may not have said credit card via BPay was OK (but it went through).
I would like to bring this topic again, is there anyone still getting points from Bpay? I asked Citi staff this morning, and it seems they totally misundertood Bpay, and keep saying Bpay is not part of purchase, therefore no points will be accrued.
