Bridgewater Hotel Fairbanks
Eventually got hold of the free hotel shuttle with just us travelling into town. Big wide highway with little traffic. Check in no problems & up to good size room with street view. Air con already on & running very cold (as is usual for the Alaskans from our experience). Very clean, good big bed, no bath just shower this time- plenty of hot water. . Wake up call works fine & then just the 2 of us on free shuttle to rail station. As discussed with our young driver, summer in Fairbanks means that shift or night work doesn't make much difference to sleep patterns.
