Other than the slightly prohibitive cost, from the airport a ticket on the Air Train to Central and a walk up the hill might be the best idea.

I'm on Qantas Drive so I think I walk to Lomandra Street (spelling?), catch the bus to Toombull and a train from there. Or get a colleague to drop me at Toombull.

All I know is I can't go to the pub in uniform. Can't even stop at the bottle shop on the way home.

It appears the time has disappeared, but it’s always 5:30, and yes, anyone is welcome to come along, we’d love to see you there!
The time has disappeared.

Need to make sure it is there for the next thread....

Alas, I think my AFF Brisbane drinks days are numbered for a while - I move up to Cairns for work on the 11th...

So start up a Cairns drinks thread. A few AFF members up that way who may be interested in a monthly drinks night....

Does anyone think we should either cancel or defer drinks night next week?

Whilst the Mill is not directly affected there may still be difficulty trying to get there.

If people think we should, then I'm happy to postpone. However, I can still make Wed myself.

I guess if there are still 3-4 people going then we just carry on as normal....

If you’re a part of that volunteer team, I think I owe you a beer too! :)

After a couple of days slogging it out in the trenches so to speak, i could do with a beer or two. This body of mine is not used to hard manual labour nowadays and i am feeling the effects a little today.

I've looked at the bus timetable and the 2 buses I'm likely to get both get me in about 7pm. I wonder if Mr Karens will give me a lift tomorrow night so I can get in earlier......

We'll still be around at 7pm, so turning up then isn't an issue. Seeing you work at the airport precinct, could another option be the A1(Village Courtesy) bus from DFO type area to the Airtrain station, and then the free Airtrain in?

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, rain or shine!

I have counted in my head and think we might have as many as 10-12 tomorrow, so shall probably get a table round the side, near the pool table, unless it’s hot and sticky outside and the aircon is blasting inside!

I'm waiting to hear back from a colleague if I can grab a lift to work in the morning.

Other option is a lift to a train station with Mr karens, train to Bowen Hills, then Nundah then bus to Lomandra Drive......

I could always drive and drink oj tomorrow night.
