A question:

When you all attend these fantastic events organised by Mr. Buzzard & Mrs. Buzzard, do you buy wine?

By that I mean...

Are you a try every wine on offer and walk out with 1 bottle - maybe
or
Do you hone in on a particular varietal and only really taste that and buy few bottles as you were planning on a small stock up
or
Do you come prepared with some prior knowledge of the wineries being visited and actually buy quantities of wine - 6/12 bottles (or more) at a time as the wines may not be easily available elsewhere?

I have attended a few social wine tours in the past and I have observed that most attendees seem to be in the first category...

There's all variations between.
I personally fall into the third category but may not buy wine at all the wineries visited on every wine tour.

A version of 3. Some wineries we know, others are new to us. We try most of what is on offer, take notes of things to buy later, but also buy mixed cases etc if they offer free shipping, or we think we can squeeze a few bottles in the hand luggage.
