Re: DJ happy hour - Business Class sale $200 for many destinations

Now that's a deal!

Re: DJ happy hour - Business Class sale $200 for many destinations

Wonder if you can use the Virgin Money 2 for 1 CC on this, or would that be pushing it a little too far?

No, 2 for 1 can only be used for Standard fares, not Sale fares.

Gosh I want to book something but not sure what! Melbourne to Gold Coast Australia day weekend Friday night it is only $5 more than the saver fare!

Same dilemma.

Got nothing on my calendar coming up. (AFF Xmas flights already booked on the other airline :)). Also, the treasury is looking rather thin for discretionary expenditure.

I think I'll have to let this one go. Painful, but so be it. :(

Actually, you know what, you could try. They're not listed as a sale fare so it might work.

With a family pool that would be 240 SCs for $400 for a return trip - that's $1.66 per SC!!

The caveat being you have 42 minutes to get through to the call centre and pleade your case...

I have booked flights for AFF6, and another cheeky BNE weekend, but having trouble finding enough dates where I know I am definitely free, and in the right country.

I assume they are flexible, but I assume you would expect to get hit with fare difference if you just book 5 MEL-SYD returns and use the flexibility?

Re: DJ happy hour - Business Class sale $200 for many destinations

This is without question the best domestic sale I have ever seen VA offer.

If they were offering MEL-ADL I would have already booked (if they stretched the MEL-BNE to MEL-CNS I would just about faint).

*depressed*, damn you Canberra!

No Jetstar?

A Princess cares not for her reception as she does for her carriage. :p

Fare difference will apply. KCMil has checked this with call centre.

That all said and done, if you do cancel these, then all you're out really is just $4.50 in credit card fees (per sector).

WHERE ARE THE A330s on SYD MEL ???????????

Re: DJ happy hour - Business Class sale $200 for many destinations

I was looking at buying all 8 seats on flights Melbourne to Gold Coast return and sort out a mystery trip for some of my mates over the Australia day long weekend. A quick couple of questions from all my reading, the fares are totally refundable and name changes can be made for free? Is this correct? So no risk if I can't use some of the fares?

That all said and done, if you can cancel these online, then all you're out really is just $9.00 in credit card fees.

Thanks, I think I skim-read past that... definitely getting old here :oops::oops::oops:

Fares are completely refundable and names can be changed. I assume there is no risk of cancelling some of the seats on the ticket (i.e. it's not an all or nothing situation).

I'm also assuming that, unlike QF, name changes are simply a modification of the existing ticket, not a cancel and rebook (which would entail a fare difference).

Re: DJ happy hour - Business Class sale $200 for many destinations

Yeah I couldn't see anywhere that a fee or charge, ie. fare difference, may apply with the name change.
